Cheap golf membership around the west?

I'm currently in galway, and wondering is there any deals on joining clubs, i'd prefer either loughrea, athenry, portumna or ballinasloe as i'm closer to them

Gort might be another one to think about if you're looking around there. I think its around 550 for the year.

Did you check on www.mygolfmembership.ie/golf-membership-deals ?
Livingsocial and the likes have deals but not for memberships.

Cregmore has a first time joining fee of €295, it's the cheapest as far as I'm aware.

Join a nine hole usually cheaper, and if you just want it for handicap I presume you won't be playing it all that often!

Why dont you give the clubs a ring, the people are usually really helpful and you would have better more upto date info than through here.

Curra West golf club has full distance membership at 200euro if you are just looking for handicap without playing it much

Loughrea is €350 for first time members, always playable winter and summer, 25 mins from city
