Part Time Education Option; Jobbridge eligibility?

Hi guys,

I've been on the Part Time Education Option since January and I'm looking to apply to beneficial/worthwhile jobbridge positions. Has anyone else here been in a similar position?

I sent a query to the Jobbrige section of the Social welfare (online message) and they've asked me to go into my local office. In the past I was given inaccurate information regarding jobbridge in my local office $:\$

Yes, your time on Part-Time Education Option should count towards the eligibility time for JobBridge. During the Part-Time Education Option you actually still remain in receipt of your Jobseekers payment.

The Part-Time Education Option (PTEO) allows you to keep your Jobseeker’s Allowance or Jobseeker’s Benefit and attend a part-time day or evening course of education or training. http://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Part-Time-Education-Option.aspx

However, as with people coming off BTEA, VTOS etc., it is necessary that

You have completed these programmes
You have signed back onto the Live Register
You are getting JA, JB, JST, DA, OFP or signing for credits immediately before starting on JobBridge
