How often should you change the timing belt on a 1.4tdi polo?

    I have googled around and have gotten people saying from 40k right up to some saying 100k (miles).

    Anyone have any idea how often it should be changed?

    The car had a new one 2 years ago at 80k miles and is now on 113k and I'm just wondering how long it will be before it'l have to be changed as I'm thinking of buying this car.

    The interval depends on the year of the car. What year is this one?

    Every 60k miles or 4 years, whichever comes first.
