Left my watch in a hostel in Liverpool and they will send it to me but need a stamped address envelope. Can you buy British stamps in the GPO or does anyone know what the story is? Cheers

Not as far as I'm aware. You can always buy them up North if you're really stuck. Personally, I'd just change a fiver and send that.

A lot of lives were lost at the GPO in 1916 to get rid of those stamps

Will the hotel not take a fee via credit/debit card and buy the stamps themselves? Or do all their other guests who forget shít only come from the UK?

Slightly OT but: Really, I find it frustrating with so many UK/US sellers/establishments that won't ship internationally. It makes no sense. It doesn't seem to be a problem for the rest of the world.

GPO Dublin used to sell them, probably still do.

I was looking at this guy emptying the local post box with 'Liam Layor' bags, which were as you say, but turned inside out. ;)

Dpd would collect it for about a tenner op.

Much more sensible and secure method imo.

    Sound like generous people. :)

Best to just pay for a fiver sterling here and post it over. You probably won't get a sterling bank draft for such a small amount.

There are An Post and US Mail sacks in circulation in the UK too, and lost of other countries.

The sacks come with the mail, and get re-used.

Kept their train lines and canals as well as the sanitation systems in our bigger towns and cities.

We should rip it all out in the interest of nationalism.

Not really, we built and paid for them.

If anything we should be ripping up the rail ways and roads we built in the UK, that'll learn them.
