looks to be the final game of the season, I doubt motivation will be high

Side note: I've a feeling it might be a draw, but with Henan so bad away I don't want to touch it, may regret it but worth keeping an eye on.

    Recap:

    Under 2.5 7/10
    Hangzhou Clean sheet 7/4
    Hanzhou 0,0 -0.5 Evens.

    All decent bets.

Finished 0-0, had yous have backed all would have been 2 Winners and half loser.

Suprised Hangzhou didn't take it in the tend.

    :)

5 reds in last 5 fixtures between these two all for newcastle
based on the above this seems a very decent price

Newcastle Over 2.5 cards 11/8 (365) only bookie showing up on oddsc

    Really like that.

Newcastle -0.5 Cards is 1.8 and -1 is 13/8 already jumped on over 2.5

Final game of regular season. League is now split in 2 (as are the points iirc) So there is still something to play for allbeit not too much

Not so, after the split there is 15points to play for. This game is a very much all to play for for both teams. Unlikely Mirren will stay up, but mathematically they still can.

But to put it in perspective
A season, which runs from July until May, was divided into two phases. During the first phase, each club played three games against every other team, either once at home and twice away or vice versa. After this first phase of matches, by which time all clubs had played 33 games, the league split into a 'top six' and a 'bottom six'. Each club then played a further five matches against the other five teams in their own section. Points achieved during the first phase of 33 matches were carried forward to the second phase, but the teams competed only within their own sections during the second phase. After the first phase was completed, clubs could not move out of their own section in the league, even if they achieved more or fewer points than a higher or lower ranked team, respectively.

Ross county win and they go 16 points clear of Mirren with only 15 left to play for. So really think Ross County are going to play for this one

Taking Ross County form both home and away, and Mirren coming off a 5-0 defeat. I think Ross county are a good price at 13/10

I think Newcastle are on holidays at the moment and with City slipping up yesterday I'll take a bit of Liverpool win in play if I can get it around 1.6 +

Valencia should get the win tonight being at home and all that is at stake. The H2H in general favours Levante though surprisingly enough.

    http://ie.soccerway.com/matches/2015/04/13/spain/primera-division/valencia-club-de-futbol/levante-union-deportiva/1821945/head2head/

I've seen an interview with Parejo today referring to how the club feel hard done by of late. there was a red card for defender Otamendi in Bilbao last game and a Bilbao last minute goal to equalise that was seemingly offside.

    http://www.football-news.com/category/european-football/fc-valencia-v-levante-ud-preview-201504120001/

"The idea is to forget about what happened,” said the club captain.
"On Monday we have another final to play. It's a match against Levante, in which we have to make the most of our pride and anger. We must use it as an impetus to take the three points.
"I think this league is the best in the world, and I understand that mistakes can be made, but two in ten minutes, with what we're playing for? The league have also decided that Cristiano (Ronaldo) can have his yellow card rescinded and Nico (Otamendi)’s red has been upheld, and that's it. I don’t think it looks good; I think it's not fair. But on Monday we play against Levante and we need to win."

This makes me think about cards. If Levante make life difficult for Valencia as they have done in plenty in recent meetings, and Valencia are already feeling frustrated coming into the fixture - plus add in the fact that it is a derby then I think the cards can come.

It doesn't hurt either that this card monster is overseeing proceedings

    http://ie.soccerway.com/referees/ignacio-iglesias-villanueva/60742/

This fixture has seen high card counts in the 6 - 8 region on a number of occasions in H2H

Line is at 6.5 - not interested in touching that pre game personally but will wait to see what shape the game takes and then make my decision after while in play.

Bet365 do their 50 euro offer thing on Atletico - Real tomorrow

    Bet made...

    Atletico over 3,5 cards @2.1

Clicked myself a broken finger to find a match vs Real where that isnt a winner and i found 1. 2nd leg Cop del Rey where the first leg was already won 3-0 by Real.

    Mazic the ref tomorrow.

How far back is that going Infor? Any Idea how many Atletico players are on a yellow card coming into this game? Could affect the card market

    About the last 10 H2H's

And no idea who is on yellow and i honestly dont think they care too much about that.

    In other news...

Dutch beloften about to kick off

    91cd04ed967ae6587377b1fa14963826.png

Only took matches where i have seen at least 1 of the teamsheets and considered if that team could bring those goals by themselves

Looking at win & BTTS market for midweek Championship games, all the promotion chasers seem to be scoring liberally and mostly playing mid-table teams with nothing to play for:

    Derby 9/5 (v Blackpool h)
    Norwich 13/5 (v Leeds a)
    Brentford 7/2 (Sheff Wed a)
    Ipswich 11/4 (Cardiff h)
    Watford 11/4 (Notts Forest a)

Trying to decide who to take out for a yankee. Any of those 5 stand out as dodgier than the other?

Looks good maybe go for 10 .50c trebles, 5 1e fourfolds, and 1e accum? Same stake as 1e Yankee.

Liverpool -2.5 Corners at 1.9 looks quite tempting

    Gone with:

    Red Card in game 3/1
    Own Goal in game 7/1

Actually I'd probably drop Ipswich, scraped by blackpool at the weekend and Cardiff beat Leeds away last weekend.

damn Bwin just automatically switched to fractional odds, I have no idea how you guys understand fractional odds... wtf is 17/4, 9/25, 5/2?! I don't wanna be doing math problems every day

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,860 ✭✭✭✭inforfun

    5/2 > bet 2, win 5, return 7 (including your stake).

But agree .... for us continentals fractionals are a pain in the arse

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,482 ✭✭✭Hollister11

Sure even for us Irish fractions are a pain in the arse. Decimals are so much easier because you can just multiply your stake.

To go from fractional to decimal all you do is divide the fraction and add 1
    eg 17/4 = 4.25 +1 = 5.25

Decimals are the choice for the logical and poor mathematicians!

No Sturridge for Liverpool, No balo on bench. I'd say this is a 2 goal game at best.

    Sterling up front.
Taking Sterling wincast @ 5/2 bwin

    Edit: That means 3.50 :pac:

Newcastle United team total over (0.5)@ 1.961
Newcastle United team total over (1)@ 3.85

    Counter-attacks are very dangerous

After about 10 years of betting regularly the fractional odds automatically start to make sense - I always have to have a second look at decimals.

Thanks fuzzy will see how the balance looks after tonight and if balance is healthy will spread it around the 5 games. A real long shot in fairness - probably better off using the brain power on Madrid in play offer instead!
