    Hi,

Just wondering what material is foam attic insulation made from?

Attic below is a house I'm looking at to buy. Is it easy to had extra light fittings (just cut away the foam in the area needed)?

Is it not pulverised polystyrene and not foam?

    yeah its certainly not foam

cant quite make out from the pics whether its polystyrene beads, or whether its cellulose insulation, which is usually grinded recycled newspaper.

    im leaning towards cellulose

like the lads say cellulose but the water tanks need to be insulated as there is no insulation on them

    You can't.

If you need to floor out some storage space you need to make sure you retain the same heat loss u value. ... so your probably looking at laying pir board perpendicular to the joists and screwing osb down over
