That is so far beyond sad and pathetic. I don't really care about the amount of pointless, nit-picking detail she does for her wedding, but it is sickening that she regards it as 'stressful', and that there are evidently people out there who would be impressed by or even interested in this sort of garbage.

Could try and wreck her wedding by infiltrating the catering company and getting her the wrong spoons.

Or am up taking things too far?

It's kind of like when Aldi doesn't have the cheap 20c noodles so you have to get the 80c ones and then you can't afford bread? Am I doing it right :pac:
Yeah, what you should do then is buy a lemon and a cucumber from the super six, and have a healthy well balanced carb free meal for 78c:)

Never underestimate the vacuousness of the general public

With any luck Islamic State will see this as their chance to take over Ireland.

Ah, sure new money shows:rolleyes: All that name dropping Vera Wang invites etc etc. All money and no class, it sounds like she's hoping if she throws enough money around on 'famous' things, that she'll have a tasteful wedding. Maybe she's afraid people will realise she has no class or taste.:D

Tom is wearing such and such a suit by blah blah.

No, you simpering cretin, just now he is probably wearing something casual, at the wedding he WILL be wearing that suit that doesn't make him look like Daniel Craig.

I can stand the crushing lack of awareness, the poor taste and the monstrously cringeworthy cheap name dropping, but fck you and your trendy "Tom is wearing.." nonsense. Unless he turned up to the interview in the suit, in which case he should have been shot in the balls.

Ah the poor girl with the vera wang invites costing a fortune. I'll light a candle for her on Sunday.

While whoever she is comes across as a vacuous simpleton, if they're spending their own money on their wedding day and it brings them happiness, let them at it.

It doesn't appeal to me and it sounds like consumerism gone mad, but they have the right to spend their money on whatever empty cachet they think ostentatiousness will buy them. It's not really for us to judge, not that that will stop me. I'll judge the paper harder for considering this a newsworthy article.

I was hoping for 'it will all be worth it and I'll get to marry the man of my dreams' at the end.

Nope. Just moaning about how expensive her taste is. Right.

The credit card bill will last longer than the marriage

If planning your wedding day is causing you that much stress, you're doing it wrong.

It all sounds like something out of a Ross O'Carroll Kelly book.

Exactly this. She is hardly the first person to be overly enthusiastic about their own wedding day plans and preparation and consequently assume people will be interested in hearing about it.

How exactly the Irish Independent believed that this would be something even remotely interesting to its readership is beyond me.

When an article isn't attributed to a writer there's a fair chance it's going to be a joke-shop. See the Daily Mail for further.

My money is on Barry Egan for this one.

It's been doing this kind of shoite for years, although not to the same extent as its Sunday edition.

I know it's her choice and that, but what I find objectionable is the "hardship" stuff she's whining about. Bintery gone up to 11.

The only thing I was worried about at my wedding was whether I would knock the bloke marrying us out with the smell of bushmills off my breath

One of the comments sums her up perfectly 'New Money, No Class'

let the lady get married in whatever way she wants.

    it's her special day.

what is it to anyone on here?

I believe the other phrase I've heard is "Fur coat, no knickers".

Which is a bit unfair, because a fur coat and no knickers actually sounds like a great night out, unlike Lisa.
