    hi All,

just wondering what i'd be getting myself into here.
Have a window..have a couple actually...that i'm not 100% satisfied are insulated around the window. Wall feels very cold, slight damp showing, bad condensation on windows. Light draughts coming in around the window frame and sills.

I'm thinking of pulling out the window sill and possibly chipping away the interior plaster to get a better look at how the window frame is set.
    Am i mad?
Will a plasterer be able to fix it up when i'm finished to a high standard or will it be obvious that it's been patched up?

Good plasterer should leave it perfect. Properly painted and it'll be as good as new!!

Remove the reveals and sill, foam up around the windows and put thermaboard(as much as possible) around to get the best result. This is a standard thing. We do it all the time when changing out old windows/doors etc
