Yeah guys I have both, and they are both outstanding streams, finally found a smartdns to work well with both - PLP has full HD and is the finest pq for streaming I've ever seen.

Is smartdns the VPN you used for PLP?

As I mentioned earlier any VPN will do for PLP (no matter how crappy) because you only require it to login. Once logged into the service you can log out of your VPN and use your own broadband to watch the games.

I have found (even with the throttling used by some companies) PLP works really well no matter the connection speed.

So if you intend on PLP just use a free VPN.

There is no discussing circumventing regional restrictions here

Anyone can buy a foreign sub like Canal+ though (as long as its just for domestic use - not public broadcast) per a judgement made by the European Courts.

I think its right people should know that.

    Huh?

There's loads of threads (some long-running ones too) discussing how to circumvent regional restrictions all over this board

And as I said, also a free and easy discussion on an illegal hacking app!

Its a long standing policy in this forum since 2001.

There is, by the way, also no on thread discussion about moderation - a rule that applies across Boards. Two day ban for the next post thats not on topic

I'll take the ban - I would love to know exactly what that policy is.

The following found without a search (ways to break Beins geo restriction all over the first thread not to mention promotion of illegal ways to get Bein and Asian sports channels!)
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=94279940&postcount=1235

    Software to bypass regional restrictions
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057398368

And I won't bother looking for the thread promoting software to bypass UK player restrictions in an enigma box but it ran for months.

Those off the top of my head...

I will to take the ban too, Mod is obviously having a bad day.

Why don't ye just PM the mod about these issues? .. Getting a ban won't answer the issues ye are raising.

But disrespectful too calling her/him out publicly - a mod who I always found to be fairly sound/informed.

Heavy bold writing is not "sound".

A public answer would make us ALL better advised, surely. My contributions to this thread are based on the perceived policy that it is ok to discuss these issues based on other allowed threads ;)

People are being told off in public (something I personally feel would be better done in private especially if the right to reply is forced to be private). In other words, if I'm told off like a naughty schoolboy in public I will respond in public.

I assume you'll be banned too for your on-thread discussion of mod issues ;)

But that's what every Mod on boards does as a means of an "official post" ...

Ya but you have to realise if we (as in general posters) break encryption/copyright laws boards can be served with legal notice as they are facilitating a public forum... its understandable that this Mod is threading cautiously - you have to accept that.

The mod can ban me if he/she wants although I don't think I have done anything wrong

Mallgio and Radiowaves both take 48 hour bans.

The threads you are quoting are in Foreign Satellite, a forum which was not part of the original ICDG forums and where a different charter applies to the other Cable/Digital forums.

I'm closing this thread and anyone who does feel like discussing Setanta can use this one:
