No Start Date as of yet . It was stated in the original emails a start date of March 18th, but things are moving fast !

The service is growing so I've no doubt they will recruit again. I've not heard anything on the grape vein recently. But surly with the paramedic class starting they will recruit to replace those. You could ring Manorhamilton and ask them. They are very curtious to talk to.

I'm on the paramedic panel so was chatting to them before they are nice just somebody asked me about ico so tought I'd ask here il tell them to ring manorhamilton and see thanks

i reckon at least 50% of the current ICOs nationwide are on the paramedic panel...
that will have to be happening soon so they will have to replace those.
wont be long i'd say...

Only piece of of info I have is is from over on the student paramedic thread it was said that the NAS has been given some funding for recruitment weather that includes ICOs I have no idea not a lot of help but you asked for any info

Hey, it's very quiet on the ICO front. I'll be on this panel 2 years in april. The last time offers were out I called to check my place on the panel. They informed me that I moved from my original place. I.e from say 10 to 15. is this common it left me quite confused.if i remember correctly a supplementary panel could have been mentioned. I did call manorhamilton 3 weeks ago but no info was given on any future offers. can anyone shed some light on the panel move

Hang in there...
There is a trainee paramedic class starting in march, another in may (I think).
This has taken a good few serving ICOs out.
I reckon approx 50% of current ICOs are on a paramedic panel.
This means they will need to be replaced seeing as the ICV service is generally seen as a success.
As to a timeframe...how long is a piece of string?

I'd say so I personally know 6 who have left or are leaving so must be fun trying to fill rosters

Ya you can say that again, I know 9 that are gone and going and that's only from 2 city stations and ever before they left we were short staffed with reliefs. And there's another paramedic programme supposingly for September with a load more Icos leaving for that too. I'd say this Ico panel could be almost women out.
