Well, that was a hell of a lot better than I expected!

Congratulations Hearts, far and away the better team.

    That was unexpected... :pac:

    Great game, massive improvement.

What way do the playoffs work?(i.e. how many teams from the SPL & Championship go into the playoffs and is there a draw to see who plays who)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,977 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

    I think it is

3rd v 4th then winner v 2nd then winner v SPFL relegation team. All games over 2 legs so to get to the SPFL the 3rd/4th placed team plays 6 games and the 2nd placed team plays 4 games!

Any word on the appointment of the NOMAD? When is the deadline?

11 days and counting. What date is this months wages due?? Will there be enough in the coffers or will the second tranche of MA loan be called in??

Has Dave King actually put any of his money in yet?

Not a shiny penny from Daves kids inheritance yet. Park, Letham et al gave another loan of £1.5m today.

Surely that's trading while insolvent, taking monthly loans to pay wages, no nomad so no option for a share release.

Incredible that costs have not been cut yet, as you said given the amount of loans and handouts that they're been given they are surely insolvent.

They've told Mike they won't be taking his second £5m. I wonder if he has a clause to pull the first 5??

Would be interesting to see what would happen if he did.

From reading the below article it wouldn't be in Ashley's interest to pull the first five.

    http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/31010900

Expect the new board to seek to repay it as soon as possible so they can start attempting to unwind some of the control he has on the retail side of things. As the article frequently mentions the devil will be in the detail.

The three bears have only stumped up £1.5 million when they were looking to invest £5 million in December. The loan will presumably be turned into equity once the situation with Rangers shares is resolved either by way of resumed trading or going private.

They can't actually invest today. Good PR/spin to call it an interest free loan though. Will they stump up the other £3.5 million once they can be issued with shares?

In relation to King a BBC report today mentions that he can't put money in until the SFA has conducted a review of his status.

More terrible news for you guys -

RANGERS International Football Club plc (AIM:RFC), the holding company for the Scottish football Club 'Rangers', is pleased to announce interim results for the six month period to 31 December 2014.

    Operational Highlights
Season ticket sales of 24,589 at period-end
Average home league attendance of 32,321 during the period; thirteenth highest UK football attendance
Semi-finalist for QTS Scottish League Cup and Petrofac Training Cup
Currently placed 3rd in Championship and in play-off spot
    Financial Highlights
    Revenue of £13.1m
    Operating expenses of £16.1m
Profit on disposal of player registrations of £0.2m
Loss before finance costs of £2.6m
Finance leases of £0.7m at 31 December 2014
Paul Murray, Interim Chairman of Rangers, commented
"These results are historical and relate to a period before the new Board took office. I wish to draw shareholders' attention to the fact that these interim results have been reviewed by Jeffreys Henry LLP. ‎I have been informed by Deloitte, the existing auditor, that they informed the previous Board of their intention to resign following the June 2014 audit. The previous Board chose not to announce this nor did they find a replacement for Deloitte. With limited time to have these results reviewed the Board asked Jeffreys Henry to perform the exercise as Independent Reporting Accountants, not auditors. They have previously carried out work for the Club and therefore know the finance functions well. The Board will make a further announcement on this subject once we have found a replacement firm for Deloitte.
The new Board's focus is on the future. We are in the process of developing a business and funding plan which will help us rebuild the Club and ensure it enjoys football and commercial success in the future. We will work closely with our shareholders, supporters and other stakeholders to achieve our vision of building a modern football Club founded on our traditional values and standards. The recovery process will take time but if we work closely together we are confident of success."

£500,000 to Mike Ashley if you get promoted.

Still no NOMAD... and now no auditors. Very close to being kicked out of Stock Exchange.

How much money has King put in?

No great surprises really it was to be expected the that's pillaging as much as they could before being turfed out. Pretty sure the present board are looking into the legality of all their actions.
It is going to be a long long road

Am I reading that right? These accounts aren't audited?

    That's my reading too.

Not a chance of staying on Stock Exchange unless this mess is rectified in next 48 hours.

No sign of a NOMAD either.

No sign of a cent from King.

No sign of any real cost cutting.

Rangers are clearly trading whilst insolvent for the last few years, only emergency loans have halted their first administration event.

Bobby tell the full story they quit last June but the rats never formed the stock exchange of made any sort of announcement. Just another black mark against thd savior that was Ashley. I reckon the courtrooms may be busy after thd new board sift through the mess

    Where's King's money?

Has Kings approach not been sensible? Carry out an audit of sorts to find out exactly were they stand financially and then inject capital with some insight?

It would be stupid for him to lump the money in before this excercise was done

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,704 ✭✭✭Broxi_Bear_Eire

    Where's King's money?

Certainly not anywhere Ashley can get it. That won't be seen until the board are sure theres no surprises left.

It's not an audit and shouldn't be giving any weight, the figures the current board have reported can't be considered accurate.

Thats why I said its an audit of sorts. Its an opportunity for them to show the warts and all of the previous regime why would they fluff it over.

King needs time before he can accused of anything

It's not an "audit of sorts either", the directors have reported figures which are not signed off as a true and fair view.

Paul Murray Interim Chairman made this statement

The Board will make a further announcement on this subject once we have found a replacement firm for Deloitte

Think it is unfair to blame this board about things they knew nothing about until recently.

Loving the eternal optimism on this thread!!!

Immediate changes are required and are possible... but take your time fellas, kick off your shoes and put your feet up. Sure nobody knew The Rangers were in a financial pickle, let Murray take his time and work out what went wrong.

Or we could go your way and they could throw money in only for surprises such as thd loan players and the wee bonus Newcastle get for them coming up orthd fact that something stinks when Deloitte chuck it bug the old lot don't announced it to anyone. I wonder what you would say then. Better to get there in the end than rush and look like idiots after all that's what has happened up until now

Murray needs to take responsibility and move forward, to do that would take days, not weeks.

You're being fed lies here and accepting it (as usual).

As much as I want the new version club to go the same way as the old one, this actually does make sense in fairness.
You don't start filling a bucket until you've inspected it and repaired the holes the previous owners left.

    Aye ok Bobby ;)

Seems like he's being paid ridiculous amounts of money to pass the buck.

If the others did make a hash of things why not call auditors to tell the truth? He can't have it both ways but that's exactly what he's doing and you're falling for it.
