Keep your shirt on, I said probably and just to be clear my post was not defending his actions

You're right there is no reason ever until everyone in that group has holed out, I say throw the book at the c**t.

    Who actually was it ?

I think it was Charley Hoffman.

Do you think this is an actual event, that would have suited Padraig ?

I think if he got the right side of the draw, he might have done quite well. But there's a huge contrast between yesterday's scoring and today's and it might yet turn into a birdie fest over the weekend.

Anyway, he would have been mad to play four weeks in a row in the lead up to a major, so let's just hope he produces something special at Augusta.

Actually, I take that back. Despite the easier conditions, the average score is still more than 1 over today, so it's very unlikely to turn into a birdie fest.

I still think that from Padraig's perspective, he's better off playing next week with this week off than vice versa. But it will be interesting to see how he fares in this tournament in twelve months' time.

I guess that sums up how life will have improved for him now.

He can have a schedule like the rest of the golfers and target events that will suit him.

Aaron Baddeley went out of bounds with tee shot on the 337 yard par 4 17th. Tees it up again...holes out for a birdie 3!

Just reading about that now - the first hole-in-one on a par four hit a blokes putter before going in and now this, its statistically freaky!! :D:D

How good is Jordan Speith ? if only he can eliminate the few bogey ( excuse the pun ) he would be very difficult to beat !

Walker on fire with the putter. Could watch speit play all day, class act!! 4 birdies in a row :-)

It must be sickening for him.. 4 birds in a row and Walker is matching him each time...The PGA this year is ridiculously open this year..19 different winners

Very sad to see Tiger drop out of the top 100.

Looks like the cut's going to go to minus 4. Phil in good form heading into the Masters. I seem to recall him winning the Scottish Open the week before he won the Open Championship.

Won week before one of his masters win as well. Would love to see him win another green jacket next week, well as long as its not at Padraigs or Lowrys expense :)

A win for Speith tomorrow puts him No2 in the world at 21. Impressive

Holmes get lined up by caddy on a 6 footer.

No way should that be allowed. Like something a dad would do to an 8 year old.

I can't imagine he'd do it on live TV if it wasn't permitted. I thought there was some rule preventing caddies from standing behind the hole and helping players line up their putts?

Should not be permitted once he is over putt.

I think they push it to limit and he walks away - just before address

Nothing unusual about it. Caddy and player are a team and reading putts is the same as discussing yardage, wind etc. only requirement is he moves away before the stroke.

Furyk and Fluff have been doing that for years and a lot of players on the LPGA also do it.

The LPGA is fecking ridiculous... The caddys align them on every shot, not just on the green.

Watch them next time (they play) - pushing limits in my opinion.

I think they know the rules and they stay inside them.

But it is unusual - and shouldn't be part of pro game. Just my opinion.

Aligning someone is past what you talked about as caddy player relationship (IMO)

    I don't like - I'm sure 90 % of golfers out there don't like it.

If things are a little wrong - they can change , like long putter.

Rory look out - Jordan seems to have grown up very quick.

It is actually refreshing to see some of these lads who can shoot lights out on the PGA . Such a contrast in swings and styles - versus the perfect stuff we see from some of the kids.

    Such a contrast with Speith.

    **** he is gone.

I didn't like look of last lie, about 4 inches below. feet.

Wagner just drains a 25 footer on 18 to tie Holmes and then dances all over the green a la Tom Lehman in 2006. Surely not on?
