Alternative to Video Downloadhelper

Until recently and for some years I have been using Video Downloadhelper to download audio from various websites. The latest updates to both Video Downloadhelper [5.0] and Firefox [36.0] have put an end to that for now so I'm wondering what alternative if any would people recommend? Thanks
