Shilling is when you PRETEND to be a happy customer, purely because you're connected some way to the business, or are being offered some reward for your fake review

I think the main Irish vendors are all excellent these days anyway. Haven't heard of any sites being poor of late.

Its such a competitive market now compared to even a year ago they've no real choice.

    Snake Oil - 80ml COMBO Collection - 18mg
    Ectoplasmic V2 - 18mg
    Vanilla Custard Supreme - 18mg

Looking forward to something different from my usual vape. Have heard great things about these 3.

Just received 50ml of Pchela's famous five layer cake, ready made and 50ml of concentrate.

Also bought 10ml of One on One honey oat cereal concentrate.

All from justvape247 and they included a free just vape pen!

So I frequent a particular vape store.
I'm a good customer and get regular discounts.
Not an obligation, not a commercial connection, just a good customer getting regular discounts.
So I come on here, and whenever someone asks a where to buy question, I naturally steer them toward my fave store. The store benefits from more custom.

    Shilling.

So I'm connected to a vape store, in fact I have a percentage because I invested in it when my mate was looking for capital to start it up. I don't work there, but get regular kick backs. Its a sweet arrangement. So I come on here, and whenever someone asks a where to buy question, I naturally steer them toward my fave store. The store benefits from more custom.

    Shilling.

So I work for anyvapeIreland.con. I create an account here under a different username and helpfully recommend my store to anyone looking for whatever. 'Its a great store, great service' I say. The store benefits from more custom.

    Shilling.

Now all the above are hypothetical, and I assure you I'm neither case, but to me all are shilling, though one can be called word of mouth and is perfectly acceptable, and the others are various degrees more nefarious. But all IMO are a sort of shilling.

Personally, the sly nefarious form of shilling is not acceptable, on moral grounds and the word of mouth type, well you should read everything with a pinch of salt.
Go to the stores, talk to the people, make up your own mind. Its the only way and IMO, makes us a stronger community.

I wouldn't call recommending a decent shop/site you use a lot 'shilling' in any way. There'd be no recommendations on here in that case! It's only if you actually get something out of it, like that shop asks you to keep promoting them and they throw you free juices or whatever ...

I only use one B&M store, because it is the only decent one within 10 mile radius of me. I'll recommend it every time over the other, IMO lesser stores that stock nowt but chinese juices, because I truly believe the one I'll point people to is a better experience in every way. I get nothing for it, it's just simple "This is the best store I know" type thing. That is not 'shilling'.

I do see people on FB though only ever suggest one site, and I know for fact that some of them have ties to those sites. I never liked that, it gets irritating. Every time you see someone ask a question the same ones veer them to their 'mate's site or one they have some connection to. It's unfair, annoying and bad practice but it'll always go on. This is why, no matter who recommends me anything, I go do my own research on top. As everyone should.

But yeah, suggesting a decent site or shop you've had good experience with isn't shilling.

I looked into the diablo eliquid, they sound good, but they only do 50/50 mix? I prefer higher VG juices. But for the price ...

Where did you get 40% off?

40 days of 40 for 40% off and I think Irish vaping for 10% off works with it as well so 50% savings.

Actually, yes it is. I'm a true pedant btw, and this is all semantics I admit.
I fully accept the original issue being someone trying to promote a vendor or product by posing as a customer. True shilling in its nefarious form, even if said product was good, bad or indifferent. That being said:

    Shill - noun
    1.
a person who poses as a customer in order to decoy others into participating, as at a gambling house, auction, confidence game, etc.
    2.
a person who publicizes or praises something or someone for reasons of self-interest, personal profit, or friendship or loyalty.

You see, its all a matter of advertising. You, like me, have a vested interest in your fave vape store doing well. In fact I truly hope all our good vape stores do well, giving me in turn a big selection of what I want, in premises that I feel comfortable in etc etc. Keeps them in business, keeps our options more varied, everyones a wiener, as it were. Makes you feel sorry for the poor word 'Shill', through no fault of its own its become tarred and feathered, even though its basic meaning is 'one who advertises'. And no, I didn't do 'morkeshing' in college!

None of the above would be shilling if one were honest about their connection. For example,I work for a vendor. As such, I'd never recommend them.

Well yeah, I like to see them doing well, mostly because it means I have a decent vape shop locally! :) But me suggesting it to someone over one of the half baked, clone of a clone e-cig stores, is just common sense more than anything else. If recommending a decent store is in fact 'shilling' - then everyone here is guilty of it and it shouldn't be against the rules. I'm even more pedantic ;)

Nope. I got it from a Dutch supplier. I am about to move back to the Sodden Atlantic Rock, and so I wanted quick shipping.

I also ordered a bunch of stuff from BargainVapour last week, and I screwed up the order. They were really helpful and sorted it out near instantaneously. Very pleased.

    ^^^

Got delivery from Diablo this morning, 666 Park av, grimm and falling skies all 18mg nic.

Currently just started vaping falling skies and liking it, very smooth and subtle. Nothing sickly sweet or overpowering at all.

Still not entirely sure what I'm tasting from it though, can't exactly pick out separate flavours but that could be just my senses still adjusting from the years of smoking.

    Using a nautilus mini 1.8ohm @ 4.2v

New juice for me this morn! Coval Vapes Butterscotch Pudding - it's delicious! Think Claim your throne, only with more flavour, the butterscotch is more evident. It's pretty lush, and almost half the price of CYT! Got from Cloudhousevapor [using a code that pretty much covers p&p] - Got 60ml, at €13.50 per 30ml. They also threw in a 20ml bottle of SNG: Pom pom juice for free. One of the things I love about that site.

The code is 'marchcloud' at least for the remainder of this month. For anyone interested. I think that covers all juices on the site, 13% off.

Just ordered 100ml 50/50 base liquid, for regular all-day-vape.

If anyone is having problems finding the right flavour, and nothing seems to be right, just try unflavoured. It might just be what you're looking for!

Vape mail never showed today :(

But ... I went into town and ended up treating myself to an Aspire CF sub ohm batt, in blue. So simple, yet so good. Got a bottle of G2 prime Gilligan's Island too. Mmmmm ... if you like Pina colada ... lala

Hi all, pretty new to Vaping...

    Ordered 30ml T-Juice Red Astaire and 30ml T-Juice Mintastic. Both 16mg.
Also ordered a spare Aspire CF VV+ battery.

Still on the lookout for the ultimate minty/ menthol Liquid!

What do you think of the Gilligans Island?

I vaped about 2ml of it from the 30ml bottle I got myself and found it rotten.

Stuck with it like to empty the tanks worth I filled but it tasted too "chemical' to me and the nicotine level I chose (18mg, which was too high anyway) seemed to be way higher, like maybe double that or something, badly mixed maybe I dunno but a lot harsher than the G2 Prime Drunk Monkey I'd got which was also 18mg.

Definitely pina colada-ish though for sure but I wouldn't buy it again.

I'm going to just let it steep for a good while and hope the harshness and chemical taste I'm getting from it improves.
