Mileage - 43000.

Looks like a very clean car but would estimate for the spec to be worth double that! Tried ringing but no answer...

Way too cheap tbh. Maybe it's on uk plates even then it would be on the cheap side Id imagine that would be worth 12k plus.

On a UK plate and the price in sterling, it might be the right price. Otherwise scam.

Nope on southern plates but based in the north but doesn't seem to be a Northern number... Thought it could be Stg price but even at that its still extremely cheap for the spec...

Not another obvious scam.

A little research will show that the cheapest 2011 diesel Astra on donedeal or carzone is a base model with twice that mileage and asking €8750.

If it sounds too good to be true.... You know the rest.... If you're in the market for a new car, when you find one you're really interested in, ask the seller to give you the VRC (log book) number, Nct cert number and chassis number then run a history and finance check. Any decent history check can verify if these 3 numbers are correct. Also if seller can't or won't provide you with these numbers then walk away. Also look for service records etc. Google "used car buying tips" to get a list of questions you should ask any seller...... I think it's slso good to go with your gut feeling.

Just as an aside to above, my brother chased an Audi A4 on UK Autotrader a few weeks ago which was been offered "suspiciously" cheap. The sellers number rang out after a few attempts and then nothing. I tried the same number and got the same experience. Shortly thereafter, the ad was pulled and then at the same time, both my brother and I were recieved a text message purporting to be from the seller. The message apologised for not being able to answer our call, and continued that the car was in Scotland and the seller was in London with no access to phone, only email. The car could be paid for with pay pal yada yada yada.

Obviously we could where this one was going....:rolleyes:

1st number (Noah) - spoke with a lovely woman. No idea what I was talking about.
2nd number (Alex) - dead
3rd number (Josh) - dead

I just added 0044 and dropped the Zero.

Ah well.
