I am looking at trading up from my appallingly hard to play encore EA 225 acoustic guitar to something a little more upmarket. I have been recently spoiled as I have borrowed a friends Fender CD220SCE, and I now never want to play the encore again :D
For the budget I have, I seem to looking at Takamine, LAG, SX...based on a well known Dublin music store's prices at least.
I've been trawling the second hand stuff in Done deal and Adverts, but nothing has caught my eye.
I am looking for an acoustic only... no pickups.
I play a broad range, but lean towards country
    Epiphones don't suit... small hands.
I plan to head into Blanchardstown and play what I can afford, but if anyone has any pointers in terms of brands to avoid in that range, or other recommendations, I'd love to hear them

Freshman have some lovely guitars for that money, I got an all solid wood electro acoustic for around 250 second hand, Great instrument for the money.

Just to add, they stock them in goodwins on capel St, if you fancy trying them, in fact goodwins have a great selection of acoustics for the size of the place, check their website for an idea of what they have...
