How best to wash Polyester?

Hi have a (lillac) Asics running , very light rainjacket. It's 100% polyester, and while I've tried spunging, it's gotten very dirty. Washing directions are vague, just '30 and wash separately'. I'd be afraid to machine wash. How does one generally go about washing polyester?.

    Any advice appreciated

    Thanks

    S

Machine wash at 30 will be fine if it says so. Put it in a bag of you're still worried.

Don't use fabric conditioner. Most sportswear will have this on the label.

Thanks, and what should I use with it? any recommendation for a powder or liquid?.

Lidl do a blue bottle of liquid for delicates; that would probably be fine for polyester. I use it on my synthetics (I use non-bio powder on the more hardy clothing).

I don't think it matters whether the detergent is liquid or powder; what is more important is whether it's biological or labelled as good for delicates or wool and silk.

Oh, and airdry it, don't put it in the tumble dryer!
