Are there ways to extract methane from the atmosphere in the same way that carbon can be sequestered from the atmosphere

    Methane is carbon

the concentration is small, two parts per million

to remove 16g of it would have to process 2 million cubic meters of air.
the 12g of carbon would be about a level teaspoon full

and there is the inconvenience of methane being about half the density of air , so it goes skywards rapid

chemically it's reasonably inert 'cept for the whole burning thing

so the best thing to do is capture it at source,
