Opel Zafira revs itself

When I press the brake the Opel zafira or when stopped at crosses it seems to rev itself has anyone seen this to happen to theirs.or know what is causing this.

If it's a petrol car check the brake servo hose and the bellows around the servo for splits.

We had a 1.6 Petrol, 2006.
the throttle body would get dirty and it would sometimes not fall back down to idle when you'd pull up at a junction etc as your describing..

Body can be cleaned, we used to wait and have it done on the service providing it wasn't too much of a problem. didn't add much to the service so it can't be too big of a job.
