Loader bucket wont close

    My tanco loader bucket will tip a load but will not pull in
    all the way plenty of oil in tractor.....would it be valve chest
    it is not worked by cables Thanks in advance.
    loader is 25 year old

    would the cables have stretched ??
    Can you change the pipe's over on the valve chest to see what happens.

    Try swapping hydraulic couplings around there could be a faulty one.

    Is it only one ram doing the crowd dump function? If oil flow is restricted it should still close fully but slower. Any damage to cylinder or bend in ram? Any oil leak?
    I'd take off pipes then take off ram and see if it's free to move by hand over its full stroke. Could be a locknut off piston in cylinder.

    Tanx every body i took off pipes and then worked the lever
    more oil was comming when it was pulled in 1 direction
    "not D band" then slided the rams in and out they were ok
    i then looked again where the pipes from tractor were joining
    the loader and one was only half connected rubbing against
    loader it had pushed the push on connector up a small bit
    TANX again
