Am I the only one mad enough to think Arctic Fire could run well here? He seems like he can stay on and it might help him up that hill

Can't think of a horse more suited by drying conditions than Vautour. Think it makes a hell of a difference to him

I'm sure Noel Meade was pressing for that but still very surprising. Very Wood not classy enough for the RSA. imo

If Kings Palace and Coneygree both run it could be perfectly set up for him again like the Albert Bartlett last year. Few other slights surprises from the press release,2 well fancied horses for Handicaps are going to run in graded races,Savello in the Champion chase and Mc Kinley in the Neptune.

Very harsh, he is a 6 year old that lost his way and showed plenty in his last run to suggest he is back in track.

He jumps, travels and stays and could very easily pick up the pieces with Coneygree and Kings Place having a battle up front from the drop of the flag.

More reason to back The Job Is Right ha!

Interesting that call though, Wounded Warrior is an able deputy all the same.

Only 5/6 day decs rather than final decs. Expect both horses to be in the county and Martin pipe entries tomorrow too

It was O' Learys comments that i was referring to

"Outlander will run in the Neptune, probably joined by Mckinley," said O'Leary.

O'Leary also revealed Tony Martin's Savello, winner of last year's Grand Annual and in contention for a number of handicaps at this year's Festival, will instead take on the best in the two-mile division in Wednesday's Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase.

I would be shocked if Very Wood finished in the first 3. It's a top quality renewal this year and assuming Coneygree goes will be one of the races of the festival. GL

Dour stayers win the RSA. Not flashy types. I must have a look at Coneygree, read quite a bit about him here. Meant to be very impressive jumper.

Seen the Powers offer today on The New One and put 20 e/w on in a shop. Forgot to look at the t&cs - 10 max win only. Am I right in thinking ill get the 10 win at 4s and 15 e/w at the SP??

Don Poli & Conegree also look like dour stayers but they also have serious quality about them. Kings Palace is more of a flashy type. Whatever happens going to be a war of attrition and a race to savour. imo.

Bets of luck with your AP bet.

Been my username for most things since I was about 15 - when it seemed like a good idea. Gold star if you can guess my initials...

Oozes blood too,not what you want at the business end in a championship race.

Surely you have reservations? Surely!!! In my opinion there's a big hole in him and this will be his swansong. I hope I'm wrong though.

It was discussed at Cafe en seine last nite! Jessie reckoned that traces of blood in the lung s would not be uncommon after a hard race on Heavy ground!!

Well yes the reservations are his well documented health problems as someone mentioned previously and the fact he bled on his comeback race at Ascot. But look Henderson and Geraghty have been really talking him up of late saying hes in great condition. They dont seem too worried about his chances of winning. He certainly has the pedigree

Yes it was only discovered after the race at Ascot and was classed as a low grade bleed. Apparently these generally do not affect performance

Having backed Cue Card and Ballycasey (scoped badly after Ascot) I agree with previous posters re Hidden Cyclone and TDS being the value now at 16/1 when you consider:

Don Cossack is still relatively unproven on better ground, know he ran well at Aintree last year but was well beaten, and has yet to run left-handed this season which seems by design, something Shark has pointed to in last few days. Could easily see him outpaced on better ground in a Ryanair.

Ma Fillule is solid be short on what she's done.

Balder is classy but has it all to prove at Cheltenham

John Spirit is a handicapper and as Rossom says yet to win on new course

Champagne Fever won't run and while I think Ballycasey is much better than he's shown, couldn't trust him at this stage

Uxiandre is interesting at 25/1 on last seasons form but his last couple of runs have been very disappointing

The likes of Eduard, Wishful Thinking and Wonderful Charm are closely matched on recent form, which probably isn't good enough

16's each for the 1st and 2nd over the two 2m4 races from last years festival seems very fair given the value of festival form in this particular race and I'm strongly considering dutching them in win bets. How likely do people think they are to turn up? I'd be more confident in Hidden Cyclone as Jonjo struggles to resist a handicap good thing ala Holywell last year

Good to see both horses are confirmed runners and Hidden Cyclone half the price :)
