    Well you see, this is actually my specialist research area so I know something about it.

    I haven't written to the ESB but I did question one of their morkeshing employees (who's actually a Masters student of mine) on the merit of such lavish expenditure in a recessionary climate. The answer I got would get an "F" if it were an exam question.

    Methinks Joe doesn't do France much - very hard to find a bank open to the public there, all e banking.

    This is all old story though - it's being going on for years. I've had the same with TSB - turned out it was AIB, if I recall correctly, who 'deducted' the money in transit at the time in my case.
