Difficult to reach spot lights

Bought a new house recently and was in the process of changing all bulbs to LED. Most of the existing halogens were blown and never replaced.

Some are ridiculously difficult to access, like the two in the attached photos. Googled for some kind of telescopic pole but the only thing I can find is in the US (Bayco bulb changer).

Does anyone have any (cost effective) suggestions as to how I could change these bulbs, I don't have a ladder that height.

Scaffolding planks cut to length to fit between bannister and window.

Get a handy man that has appropriate ladders to access the lights. Do not attempt the plank across the bannister and window anyway unless you have vhi.

put a ladder against the window wall and a scaffolding plank from the bannister to a rung on the ladder. Secure\tie the plank to the spindles.

ring and ensure your life assurance is all paid up.... and change the bulb standing on the plank.

I have one of those, and it's almost useless even when using it on GU10 bulbs at normal ceiling height let alone at the end of a pole.

Take out the window and hire in a teleporter with a 3ft cage could be a solution.

:D:D I was going to suggest painting the bulb white and buying a lamp but I prefer your way.

I've actually decided it is easier to just demolish the house and start from scratch.

That's a bit extreme. If you just knock out the window wall you should be able to get a cherry picker in.

If you put a straight ladder up to the top of the coloured wall, you may be able to reach it, or is it further than it looks?

Tried that, further than it looks, and impossible to reach up and out backwards to the light.

Oh well. I've encountered a few of them while painting and most of the time you can get them that way. Your best bet is probably finding someone that has light scaffolding or maybe a ladder standoff might get you up a bit closer.
