Driver's licence in Irish

    What procedure is involved for getting your driver's licence in Irish.

    Is it a matter of just walking in and showing them your normal english name?

    I know a guy who got an age card done a couple of years back. He just walked and they signed him off on that alone.

    When I got mine changed to my Irish name, I just went in when it came up for renewal, told them I wanted my Irish name on it, and that was that.
