How long do I have to cancel a contract made with Vodafone over the phone? Is it one week or is it one month?

    14 days I reckon.

According to Citizens Information it's only a week. Bummer.
They have 18 months to sort out the Internet or I'm off.

Did they advise you of the cooling off period when you ordered?

    Probably, not to certain.
Will give them 18 months to get it sorted out. Strange that things seem to have got worse since I agreed to a new contract. Very hard to keep a game going on xbox live. :(

I have been given a life line!!!

Vodafone have changed their T&Cs so I have time to cancel without penalty.

Have just been onto Eircom and they have said I can get 50mb efibre.

    No brainer!!!!

    :D

Make sure you can actually cancel. Not all packages have changed in price.

I got an email today telling me if I wanted to change or cancel to ring 1907.

Now deciding if I order eFibre now and then wait a few days to cancel Vodafone.

I have just checked the vodafone site and it also says I can get eFibre now.
I guess I will just have to ring them and find out which is going to be the best deal for me.

If eircom have fibre, so do vodafone.

Well, after sitting on the phone for 35mins I got through to Vodafone CS only to be told that although fibre has been enabled, I will not be be able to get it until 18th March.
They have me logged for a call 18th March and I will then be told what I can and cannot get.

When does your 30 days thing due to price change run out?

What deals are eircom doing for you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,735 ✭✭✭kleefarr

    30 days from 3-3-15. So I suppose 3-4-15.
    Same price for both €55.
Eircom - Unlimited BB, 30 mins to All Iirsh mobiles and Free National phone calls
Vodafone - Unlimited BB, Free Irish mobile calls and all landline calls.

Going by their websites. So Vodafone have it on mobile calls. If they ring on the 18th and deliver, I will be happy.

Eircom seems to be €25 for 6 months then €58

Yep, just rushed a reply there.

Eircom - €25 for 6 months, unlimited up to 100Mb with Anytime local and national calls. €58 thereafter.

Vodafone - €25 for 3 months, unlimited up to 100Mb with Anytime local and national calls, unlimited anytime calls to all Irish mobiles. €55 thereafter.

Or Vodafone - €40 for 6 months unlimited fibre broadband, unlimited anytime calls to all Irish landlines. €45 thereafter.

Thinking that if Vodafone works out will go for the latter one.

    Will see on the 18th.

Yeah, must admit I really was not expecting them to stick to what they said.
Will ring them in the morning.

    Ok, called CS this morning.
    Upgrade in action.
Next step, wait for engineer to contact me in next 48hrs.
They said my line could handle 50mbs.

Also if you don't need a landline don't pay for it. I used the new Vodafone T&C's to break from my BB & calls down to just BB. Saved me €17 a month as I never use the house phone.
