    Hi everyone!

    Just wondering, what Dunleer secondary school is like? As I'm aware, it is a modern school located just off the main street.

    I suppose my main questions would be:1) would there be a lot of discipline issues in the school? 2) are there a good availability of subjects for pupils? and what are the popular options? 3) and the overall reputation of the school, good, bad, staff ok?

    very good school, very good discipline. very good facilities. Very happy with it

    Thanks Whelan2! I've heard Ardee Community school doesn't have a great reputation regarding discipline and behavior among their pupils.

    Just wondering would it be along the same lines!

    Would feel dunleer would be alot better.

    Dunleer is qualified under the heading of an ETB school. Generally, schools qualified under this heading are schools located in 'disadvantaged areas'. By the sounds of things the school doesn't seem to fit this criteria.

    Could anyone shed some light on this?

    ETB schools replaced the old VECs. It just means they provide vocational education as well. Many have designated special needs units as well. Nothing to do with disadvantaged areas.
    Coláiste Lú and Bush Post Primary are ETBs for example.
