We need a 20 goal striker. LvG plays our only player in the team to get 20+ goals in MF. Logic.

Falcao and rvp have both scored 20 in a season loads of times too.

    Classic over reaction

Choice of words were ott. But he's been poor for a while now.

"Poison" is certainly too strong a word, but he's been poor. I refuse to say poison cause you only have to look back 8-12 months and see how good he can be.

Started terribly but were growing in the game. Created decent enough chances to score. Di Maria's **** up was just facepalm worthy, easy to pass it to young than to Falcao but he ****ed it up.

Young is our best player by mile, having good game and showing how a winger should be playing.

    Sorry. Can't hear you.

    You do this every match.

I'd love to see the difference in results where Fellaini plays to when he doesn't play. I could do it myself but am too lazy :p

RvP is injured and Falcao never did it for United. Or in the PL

Because Sunderland are awful and we are very good at home. It's a standard 2 or 3 nil win.
we will win 3-0 or more tomorrow.

we are good at home my Bollox

Burnley, Swansea, Liverpool, Southampton and now Sunderland

    Absolute fúcking shíte.

Harsh on Falcao. Starting to find his way in the match and he gets pulled off.

Absolutely gutted for Falcao. The lad is one of the best finishers in the game and he gets ZERO service.

    I cant understand it.

Not been given any chance to get any bit of form going.

Has he done enough to impress? He's started 12 league games and has played over 65 minutes in them all.

Never seen Smalling so good on the ball. He is playing excellently.

I have been quite critical of him in recent times but today he has been our best player by far in my view. Showing real strength and composure. Hasnt panicked all game, fair play to him, we need a few more like that :pac:

Rooney MOTM for a penalty and a rebound.

Herrera, Young and Smalling all far more deserving.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 19,889 ✭✭✭✭The Moldy Gowl

Thought that was a good performance. 70% possession and 20 odd shots.

Final ball was a bit poor at times.

No doubt I have my head in the sand and the usual words such as dour, turgid, dross will be thrown out.

Also cue outrage at Fellaini being our lone striker

Rooney was better than just those two occasions. But I agree that Young and Smalling were better

3 points are the most important thing ... very hard watching for an hour. Rooney HAS to play up front..

Good performances you should be proud of. I was not proud of that today, by a long way.

2 of his crosses today were unbelievable for a CB.

Young was excellent today again - finding fantastic form.

Took longer than I'd like to break them down but I'll take it.

Worried about DiMaria; you can criticise tactics and philosophy all you want, but when a 60m player can't string together some passes, then that's a player problem.

    Southampton dropping points too.

Good performance my hole. The first half was a bad as we've ever played.
