Garmin edge 800 search function

Picked up one of these last week on adverts just getting the hang of it.All seems to be coming together except for one thing searcing for a street.When im on a ride maps show up grand.But how do i search for a street im looking for.i got an sd card with it when i bought it with maps on it but not sure whats what.Any street i try search for it just keeps saying "not found".

Can't say as I've tried that yet with mine - not had it long myself. I'll try on my commute home in an hour and see what happens

I tried searching for my road before I set off from work and after 5 mins of a red egg timer picture, I gave up. It doesnt seem to want to know. It could find locations ok, like airport, train station etc, but a specific search was no good

thats exactly the same problem im having.strange thought it would locate strrets aswell as just locations and areas

I'm not sure if theres a spelling issue with mine, as lots of places here use ü and the like and that doesn't appear on my keyboard to input the name. Not a big issue for me really as I don't need to input road names
