I'm with Roy Keane on this...

“I rang Mark Hughes. Robbie [Savage] wasn’t in the Blackburn team and I asked Mark if we could try to arrange a deal.

Sparky said: ‘Yeah, yeah, he’s lost his way here but he could still do a job for you.’ Robbie’s legs were going a bit but I thought he might come up to us [at Sunderland], with his long hair, and give us a lift – the way Yorkie [Dwight Yorke] had, a big personality in the dressing room.

Sparky gave me permission to give him a call. So I got Robbie’s mobile number and rang him. It went to his voicemail: ‘Hi, it’s Robbie – whazzup!’ like the Budweiser ad. I never called him back. I thought: ‘I can’t be fcuking signing that.’”

Who else wants this to be true?!

I laughed :D Actually wish this was real as it was probably one of the best ads on TV (at the time anyway). There are very few real gems out there nowadays ads-wise - instead we're inundated with ads for mobile phone companies and hair products.

A sh!t beer ad made by a sh!t "beer" company. Beechwood aging my a$$.

Ha, I actually had it lately and it's not that bad. Not great obvvvviously, but not just as bad as you might think. Then again it might have been because I had pints of something else running up to it..

Not a chance, those ads can't be aired in the EU since Budweiser lost their court case with Budvar.

"The benefits and burdens of Budweiser to the Irish advertising industry since their arrival to the Irish market in the 1980s"

I have a twenty thousand word essay to write on this heading before the end of March.

    Keep talking lads.

Defo way older. Did my Leaving in 2001 and this was the big thing at the time. Pretty damn annoying, it got old after 2 days.

Funnily enough I recall this fad. Which correlated with my year first at secondary school. I remember the people who did "like" this ad. Needless to say they were the thickest of sh*ts. Not one progressed well in their lives thereafter.
