City 1 up within a min ... we are miles behind them.. remember us being that clinical.

I'm genuinely worried that once we hit that gauntlet of Arsenal, Spurs, City, Scouse and Chelsea we're looking at 5 defeats and the season completely going down the ****ter.

We gotta face it, we're ****ing crap. Been good in two games this year - QPR and Hull. Couldn't buy an away win

Whats worse is we still have this trend from last year of false dawns, every time we think they may be out to turn a corner, they go out and drop more points away from home.

Yep. If you qiped out three or four on either side, this **** would stop very quickly.

I'll admit there is ****e in both sides but at times you can't even critizise a team without getting accused of trolling. Liverpool fans will always take pleasure at utd losing especially the way this season is going. Sometimes it over the top and sometimes people are too precious. This goes for both sides.

Well we're not "crap" its just that the rest are better then us, re-building the team is just past half way IMO.. better days are ahead!

It's boring mate. A group of grown ups trying to score points in an internet war starring fans of two sides from a different country. It's mental.

    I bloody hope so.

Van Gaal usually has had an upturn in performances with his teams by this stage in the season any other job he's had though. I'm trying to put it down to the massive amounts of injuries meaning it was difficult to make things gel but im beginning to worry a little if it's gonna come at all now. This side had its confidence smashed to bits last year and still haven't got it back, one thing goes wrong and its dropped points for sure instead of getting down and getting the three points.

You would wonder how the Glaziers will view the season especially having forked out and backed LVG. .. If we carry on the same form and limp on till end of season.. hard to see us getting CL spot and winning FA cup.. just can't put a good 90 min in , not all season thus far... I know we still have some dead wood to shift... but the likes of Di Maria should be standing out a mile. .. still a lot of clearing out to be done, sometimes LVG sounds like a spoofer.... frustrating is not the word..... will the Glaziers trust LG with another wad ?

For the first time this season Im genuinely concerned for a top 4 finish.

I think the Gunners will have enough to get 3rd so that leaves us to slog it out with LFC, Spurs and the Saints.

LFC seem to be clicking a bit and Sturridge back is a massive boost.

Spurs have Kane in a rich vein of form.

Saints are very well organised and are plugging away.

The only thing (theoretically) that we have an advantage over Spurs and LFC is no Thursday footy, still though, that can be a blessing and a curse.

Fugg it, Ive a bottle of gin and 12 bottles of San Miguel to get stuck into at a house party later, stupid United harshing my buzz.

Last year shouldn't come into it at all with LVG having the team for 8 months and bringing in 5 new players. You can't really use that as an excuse.

2 losses out of 20 and this place goes mental.

However, the training drills for the week should be on shooting from around the edge of the box,the default these days is pass it sideways when in range.

Yes but in all honesty .. probably Valencia, Jones, McNair, RVP, Smalling, Evans will not have a 1st team (premier league winning) future at United. Who knows you may throw a few more in too...

We will see a host of players in over the next few windows.

He will stay once we do better then 7th IMO ... his reputation/history of building teams is excellent. I actually wouldn't want to get rid of him

I wish we could play like city. We wasted so much money on mediocre players.

Well top 4 was all our objective at the start of the season, anything less will be massively disappointing.. you see it was always going to be this hard replacing SAF's title winning team.

Not saying I would either.. just wondering about Glaziers. ... They didn't hang around last season and hadn't forked out as much......LVG does look worried at times and I stand corrected .. did he even mention it ?

Glazers aren't stupid, they know the club can survive a few seasons without CL football for the greater good - I have absolutely no doubt in my mind LVG will build a title winning side.. he needs 3 things to do it - Time, Money and Club support.

I think he will get all 3 no problem... you have to remember this is LVG's swansong to world football, this is his baby now.

No doubts? Even if he gets united firing they're MILES behind City and Chelsea atm. Its gonna take a great side to catch those too as well. Especially Chelsea who seem to be able to sell average players for infi money and buy better ones for less...

On the topic of De Gea, I know that it's anathema to most to criticise him but does anybody think that a lot of our struggles with crosses and corners come from him not claiming balls in and around the 6 yard area. I'd love to seee him clear house and claim a ball early on to stop players from getting brave with their crosses.

I've brought that issue up a couple of times and got zero response to it.
It's certainly not the only problem at the back but it certainly is a problem.
Also it doesn't take the opposition long to work out that set pieces can be fired as close to the goal as they want without being "to near to the keeper".

If we didn't throw away some ridiculous points this season we would be very close - City/Chelsea are very good but certainly not uncatchable over the next season or two.

I'm sure City and Chelsea fans think the points they've thrown away are ridiculous too. The eye test says that those two are miles ahead of the rest atm. Impossible to argue with imo. Look at what City are doing to newcastle. Couldn't see United destroying them like that any time soon.

People talk about Di Maria's previous season as if he was on Ronaldo's level or close to it, it's just been so exaggerated. Yes he was world class last year and put in some huge performances, but the rest of his career at Madrid was nothing like it, always fell into the category of 'don't get the hype' for me. There are plenty of players, wingers in particular, who have appeared world class for a season or so and have then faded badly. Nani being the perfect example of this. ADM has been so so poor for ages now, I suspect PSG really was his first preference.

That's a bit of if me granny had balls she's d be me grandad ..... We have dropped ridiculous points.. We haven't played well all season.. These are facts..

Ferguson would almost have won the PL in his sleep with most teams in the top 6 teams - his ability to win from losing situations was absolutely staggering... you are right, he probably would have but saying SAF would win the league opposed to any other manager is ridiculous.

SAF was the best manager in club football history.

8 months and the players still haven't the foggiest notion what they are supposed to be doing.
