Does the Lion King live up to the hype and its premium pricing? And has anyone seen Aladdin? is it any good?

I slept through most of Act 1 of Lion King and I'm a huge musical fan

I loved Lion King, sat on the edge of my seat trying to take it all in. Visually it is fab and such elegance.

I am a techie at heart though, so I see shows in a different light to others.

I thought I was the only one who did this. I went to it in New York, but had been for a few cocktails with friends beforehand which were pretty strong. That and lack of food meant I was falling asleep towards end of Act 1.

Went to see it again in Dublin, and didnt have the same problem. I think its a spectacular show, visually its amazing. So much happening and to take in. Its also my favourite Disney movie though.

The Lion King looks amazing but I thought it was a terrible show. After the opening scene (which was excellent) it was all downhill from there.
