Check Tripadvisor. There are reviews of both of them there.

Hi nickys, I stayed at the Clifden Station House Hotel , twas about 6 years ago now. It was lovely, old style but clean and lovely staff. The food was quite nice and the bar out past the courtyard was lovely, a fine place to while away a few hours. Some shops around the courtyard too and Sky Road is worth a drive, very beautiful.

I stayed at the Station House about two years ago, cheap as chips with a groupon voucher.

Clifden was pretty much closed for the winter, but due to the vouchers, the hotel was quite lively. we had a lovely meal one evening and the bar was nice and friendly. Room was good and clean, in all, a very nice stay.

Where are you travelling from? Look at Renvyle House Hotel in Connemara, would prefer it to Station House.

Abbey glen Castle Hotel in Clifden, it's soo relaxing. I've brought my wife there for last 3 years after our wedding in '11,

Budget is better that u mite think and I'm sure they'll treat Ya like royalty... Big turf Fire, free champagne suppers and wee lock-ins near guaranteed . Plus food is 2nd to none.
