We're crying out for a player with Scholes ability to change the tempo, direction and length of our passing.

On the positive side Rooney is hopefully making a good argument to secure his position up top.

Mata for Fellaini would really help break these guys down. Irrespective of what people on here think he adds my heart sinks when I see him in the team, just not Utd quality. Watch him win this for us now!

Haven't seen this mentioned yet, United or Preston will play arsenal in the next round.

EDIT: went back a page there. This is what happens when I skip to the last page.

As a rule of thumb, when the Fellaini haterz come in he scores or sets up a goal.

4 at the back, Rooney up front, Herrera.

Everything we were looking for and we're still garbage.

Valencia needs to be turfed out sharpish. He's awful and nowhere near United standard. Not that many of the players look United standard lately.

    Yes, you.

We lack this in every game Herrera doesn't play in. He's a threat from midfield and plays that box-to-box role very well. A 4-3-3 with Falcao up top flanked by Januzaj and Di Maria, and Rooney playing off him in a sort of hyrbid #10 / central diamond position with Herrera and Carrick/Blind behind him would make for some lovely football. Even Wilson could play on the wing if needed. We also have Young/Valencia/(Nani) who could fill the role.

    LVG READS BOARDS.

The disappointment in the BBC commentator's voice pleases me.

Fellaini likely to outscore Falcao and maybe Rooney this season ?? :)

How anyone can question Herrera's quality is beyond me. He is so good in tight situations and the way he protects the ball with nice touches is fantastic.

Agreed, he is a great ball player and how he has not started since is beyond me.

    I claim full responsibility!

For my second trick, ladies and gentlemen Chris Smalling is a brainless tool of a player.......... who am I kidding, not even I can make him look good!

First half he was on right of mid and not in game as much but since he went to centre mid, he's much better, that's his position.

We look far more comfortable playing 4-4-2. Otherwise we are far too narrow in our play.
