Selling on Ebay UK

    Recently sold some items on Ebay Uk and I had to choose whether I wanted the payment on paypal in Pounds in converted to Euro. Which is generally better?

    If you nominate sterling is it not then up your credit card company to convert it when it hits your Irish account. ? Hopefully its a better rate than Paypal.
    Can I ask how you set postal rates ? Do you research the Irish Post rate and enter it into your Ebay.UK ad. ?

    If I nominate Sterling it says an account will be set up in Sterling, so yeah I reckon the exchange rate once it hits my bank account would come out better.

    When you are creating a postage policy you do domestic first which is UK.

    Then you go to international and where it says 'post to' pick custom location in the dropdown menu and select Ireland. Then enter the Irish postage, so for example a large envelope with An Post is 1.65 euro so enter £1.22 pounds. As the exchange rate changes you will need to update this from time to time.

    If you want to add more countries you can select offer additional services and then select custom location again.
