    Keep it classy, protestors...

Has this sort of stuff gone far enough yet? What the heck is the point of preventing a woman visiting her sick daughter? Why were they even at the Council - they don't make decisions about IW?

Was it during working hours for the Mayor ? And I guess Protestors have to be Psychic now too ?

"Just give us your fcuking money"

Actually more things should be done the Geldof way.

Wonder how many of the protesters were on the state clock so to speak

Seems odd no one called the Guards before this even got to happen. She knew they were there had been for 12 hours. And I don't think high level public servants have a normal working time 9-5 again she was still probably on the clock due to the car probably being claimed for in expenses or even supplied for by the tax payer.

During working hours, was it? I guess it's ok then to falsely imprison and intimidate. Of course, none of us would dream of taking time off work in such circumstances.

No, not when anarchists are appraised of the situation and have a ready made solution, as in:

"When I told them my daughter was sick one of them said, 'if your f***ing daughter is that sick what are you f***ing doing here'. It was unbelievable," she added.

You realize local representitives are generally volunteers, right?

Also, what did she have to do with IW? Why block her car?

What are you talking about? The protestors werent there for 12 hours the quote says "They had been there 12 hours, just doing their jobs, it was terrible," said the Fianna Fáil representative.

I think you need to re-read and probably drop the government/Authority must be corrupt attitude.

If any of these protesters were prevented from going anywhere or insulted with the kind of insults and language they use, you can be sure they would be all over the media complaining about it, talking about conspiracy this and political that.

But its ok for them to do it to others?

Preventing people from going about their personal business goes beyond legitimate protest.

Eh link the post that says that ? And on the 12 hours that's my bad I assumed the protestors were there the same amount of time to confront the Mayor as it did not state they rocked up knowing the meeting was over at 8pm

She's "on the clock"in bed then as well,as it was bought with tax payers money?

Nope putting words in someone's mouth.

Exactly. It was the fault of the victim. The Guards could be faulted too for not anticipating bullying and thuggery. Oh wait, that would be a slur on peaceful, law-abiding protesters.

Oh, she was fiddling expenses, was she? She will have to be lynched - much more efficient and effective than putting it in the hands of the courts, in which case if you have information to that effect you would have to take the trouble of bringing it to the attention of the authorities. We couldn't have that. Your time is too valuable for that, not to talk of all the other tax payers who were at the protest.

Whatever goodwill the anti water charge brigade had is quickly being eroded by these headshakers.

Disgusting carry on. I hope they were shouting "peaceful protest" loud enough to make it legal. Scum, each and every participant.

The title and indo story is hyperbolic, they were protesting outside the cc buildings not the hospital.

Losers blaming others for their miserable lives.
If they actually did something productive with their time, they wouldn't need to demand that more stuff is paid for them by others.

Maybe they were angry about 10 guards arresting a 16 year old in relation to False imprisonment of a Minister. All it says in Anti Water.

One could speculate that many of them may not be contributing any USC to the state coffers.....
