I had them same alloys on my focus when I got it, well 3 of them, the 4th was a completely different alloy. Still have them thrown in the shed, they're not in good condition now, but I'll check to see if any have centre caps, and if they do you can have them. Don't hold me to it, but it's 50/50 if they have them.

Actually, ya know what, I'll take you up on that offer if you have the same ones as me.

These are the ones on mine (not sure if these alloys always had the same caps or not, as there seems to be a variety of different ford centre caps out there).

You can see why it needs nut covers... *shudder*

The centre caps are silver, by the way (I think it looks a bit blue in one of the photos there). Photos are dire cos they were taken on my phone. Can't wait to clean the car up properly! :D

Went to look at a few celicas yesterday. I am officially in love :P

Was at small scale dealers, was kind of shocked by how much money was required to go from my 04 corolla to a 00/01 celica tbh.

For that reason i'd love the corolla to hurry up and sell privately. I dropped the price the other day to €3650, am i still miles out?

I was about to get a celica recently but my insurance company would not insure the jap import BEAMS model or even the 190hp newer model. I am a few months into my current term and didn't want to change insurance company mid way.

That is very true. The gen6 model isn't much of a looker imo and i've had it up to here with trying to insure imports over the years, so im looking for an Irish model, i'm more than happy to go with a 140 model but tbh it felt slower to drive than the corolla.

i'm assuming @25, full license and 7 years no claims that an Irish 140 wouldn't be an insurance issue, but nothing would surprise me.

Yes, you are, I'm afraid. Lad I know bought a 05 'rolla from a dealer in Dublin (or somewhere nearby), low mileage, FSH for 3200. Two weeks ago.

And maybe stop claiming it's a golf might help too.
    :pac:

Was it a saloon terra? I hope so :)

I put up serious ads and took down the golf one the other day.

I'm aware the mileage is against me here with my car but it's only around 12k per year.

The gen6 model isn't much of a looker imo.

The 7th gen is by far the worst looking imo!

    +1

I like the 6th gen myself. Sits a bit high in stock form though. Looks well with a touch of low.

Very hard to find a good looking 6th. Virtually everything for sale is very very tired looking bar a few enthusiast gt4's. The 6th also looks quite old now imo, whereas i think you could still drive a 7th gen and people would perceive it as a modern car.

Anything 6 and older imo is fine.
With the 7th it took a weird different direction!

I hate the 7th generation but each to their own.
    Very girly car to me.

The 7th gen has a very hyundai look about it to me, particularly from the rear.I wouldn't say I hate it though.

The 5th gen was my favorite.

No hate was a bit strong.
It wouldn't register as a car is want to own though.
I like the hardier/tougher looking older ones :)

I drove a beams 6th gen before and loved it!
Fantastic car with never ending grip and feel.

Oh, I don't want the nut covers! :P Just the centre caps if you have them.

I have no nut covers at all, so I'd need to buy a set. I'm just not sure if they're all the same size or if some are bigger/smaller than others. "A wheel nit is a wheel nut" is my thought process.. but then you never know for sure...

I'd actually like to get the blue centre caps. I seen these but don't know if they'd fit. I think they might be too small?

    I think i need 65mm? I've no idea, though.

Would you not measure it and see. Also wheel nuts are all different. Unless they are still the original ones that came with the car, then I assume all Ford focus of the same year would be the same.

I did measure it, but I'm not sure if I got it right or not.

I got two measurements, one is about 50mm for the 'inside' of the hole (that the cap would slot into) and about 70mm for the 'outside' of the hole (where the edges of the cap would protrude out to completely hide the hole they've been fitted into).

I don't know which size people refer to when they're selling them? I presume its the 50mm?

Corolla is gone! €3500! Phone rang at 2, car gone at 6! Whirlwind!

    Boom. That was easy!

Congrats! Reading reviews the 7th gen Celica actually seems like a better and more fun car than the 6th gen.

Now Rotary from Mazda in 2017

Not getting my hopes up. Again. But maybe in ten years I'll be able to afford one
