In general, I don't like other people's kids. Like having my own though. However once they hit teenage years, you want to give them away!

    We're you a rebellious teenager?

Nah, pretty tame I reckon. Did lots of stuff that parents/paymasters did not know about, but in their eyes I was an angel....albeit a grumpy one who spent his days listening to the smiths.

Ever get hit by a teacher in school?

    No??

Would you hit someone back if they hit you

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,181 ✭✭✭cgh

I'd hit a bloke, but not a female.

    am I too soft?

once..by a scum priest of a teacher, because i forgot a line of a poem, he hit me so hard my ear bled, and i confronted him, warning that if he did it again my dad would be in..i got sent to principle and got off... learned later alot of his antics swept under carpet, i met him before he kicked the bucket, and told him exactly what i thought of him, and asked him to draw his fists, he didnt, surprise surprise, a coward, like many with the dog collar..later he was caught selling historic artefacts to the highest bidder, ironic really..sorry for the rant!

    do u like priests?

I respected them until I went to a priest run secondary school in the 80s. Lost all respect for them then.
A friend of mine became a priest though, very nice fella. He does not preach to me, even though I am non-practicing.

Ever have a crush on a teacher?

What a horrible scumbag :( did you tell your dad?
I like the priest I know, he's Young and lovely and was so nice when both my parents died. When my dad was moved to hospice he came in every single night and brought pizza in to me and my brother the night before he died, I guess he knew we didn't leave the hospital for food.

What's the nicest thing someone ever did for you

parents... did everything they could for us, i never had the chance to tell them or repay their kindness, both passed away before i was 23, and i was the oldest, sis was 19,maybe as kids/teenagers we take things for granted!

worst thing anyone did on you?

I'm sure they knew though. I think it's always an unspoken thing between kids and parents.

My "best friend" turned on me, made a blog about me, posted very personal stuff about me, untrue stuff about me, and private mailed the link to nearly all my facebook friends. I was so frightened I didn't even want to leave the house.

Would that make you distrust everyone else

I distrust everyone until they prove to be trustworthy.

    Ever regret trusting some one?

Wouldn't have a clue and a Google search throws up Michael Collins. Father Ted would be my choice.

Do you think historians paint a different picture to reality. Especially when you look at what used to be taught in Irish schools about Irish history?

History sometimes means when the legend becomes fact...u print the legend!
it can become distorted, i woild like to think on decades to come kids will be taught that the recession was caused by greed and inept politicians, and two inept Taoicheach, Ahearn and Cowan, who encouraged a false boom built on credit, to which families years from now will still feel its affect.

    Are todays politicians self serving?

Many politicians become self serving, I doubt they start like that. There are a few who are genuinely doing what they believe is in the best interests of the country.

Who is your favourite politician in ireland?

I am liking Joan Burton more and more. Shane Ross would have my vote, but he goes silent too often.

    Do you vote in elections/referenda?

    I always try to vote,

do you think the 1916 leaders would approve of today's society?

Did you take sides during the Saipan debacle when Mick betrayed his country?

No, he was a fantastic player from his forest debut up to about a year before he left Manchester united. But since retiring he is too fond of the sound of his own voice.

    Are you a chatterbox?

Yes, once on a ferry crossing from Dubln to Holyhead years ago. I was a cool 20 year old but with my mum and she wanted to play. But I ended up winning. Felt so embarrassed to have to say "House" and then walk up to collect my £25.
    Handy drinking money though.

Do you have many fillings in your teeth?
