Arsenal are starting to power ahead, Liverpool as getting their act together and even Spurs (yesterday result could have gone either way) are a threat. And what have we got? Well we statistically play less long balls than West Ham in a game that we are chasing, after having assembled one of the most expensive sides in the league.

A lead over the 3 of them if we win tonight...while not even playing well. United have an act to get together too, I just wish it would hurry the f*ck up.

With United still somehow ahead of all these teams who have entered super power up turbo mode imagine how good they'd be if their manager wasn't a spoofer.

Definitely not Neale Fenn, guy runs just for strikers coaching and wouldn't have any kind of time to be spouting on here. He's none of the wingers in that squad either. Who coached that team Bangkok?

It's Ireland, they probably are, even with the different surnames.

If LVG spent more time hitting the turbo ramps and less talking we'd be top of the league by 2 places i reckon.

All in the mind. Seriously, Burnley have thrown away 2 2-0 leads in recent games, they're playing well and Danny Ings will give our back line something to think about. Should be a good game, going to go with 3-1. Di Maria to score 1st.

Well if we don't/can't win matches like tonight then we don't deserve to be going to Europe.

We always had a couple of 5-0 and 6-0 victories nearly every season.

We also lost a stupid game or 2 also seasons past.

But winning by 2 goals tonight will seem a very nice win, win it it should be more expected then hoped for.

Ha I'd take an absolutely undeserved last minute OG winner here now.. Every 3 points from here in now is like gold as the race is so close - if we don't win next 3 in row I don't think we will be top 4 come the end of year - next 9 points on offer are massive.

Burnley at home would be in the top 2 preferable fixtures on the calendar. Can't say I'm worried one bit, if it was away from home then yeah maybe.
There's always scope for an upset in every game but nobody should be unduly worried going into this.

Utd have been playing badly for 1-2 years now, i thinks its a bit of a miracle how they are not further away from champions lg spot. People thinking they will hit a bit of form soon need to look at how they have played since last year. Certainly hasnt improved since the Moyes reign and that ended up a big 7th in league.
The way this is going Utd will have no hope of champions lg again. Imo.
Manager has the players but fails to use them correctly.

It's a funny league, Leicster bottom of the table and probably would have left Arsenal last night feeling they should have least had a draw considering the chances they created. No game is easy.

What is wrong with it? While I don't totally agree with everything it said I can see where they are coming from and it would be hard to argue against it.

It's a different team from last year, different players, different manager. Why is it that other teams can hit form but United definitely won't? Why have other teams come from nowhere to get Champions League but United will never get it again?

Ammmm you know if we win tonight we are 1 point off Southampton if they win and 5 off man city. In 4th.

Your post is just wrong and you can't see past the first layer.

It's like the tired old rhetoric of arsenal always get third so automatically they will be there this year.

Southampton will fall away, as they always do.

    Spurs are spurs.

Sure utd were winning titles, does that not mean we should automatically be included in the top 3 places.

It's tired cliches that annoy me and people listening to too much media and rival fans trying to stick the boot in.

United have been bad to watch for longer then 1-2 years, your criteria for miracles is obviously pretty wide.

Surely this part does not need countering? Obvious differences between this season and last.

If United beat Burnley at home tonight they will be 3rd again, the other teams have tough runs now, they all play each other also, there is plenty of reason to believe the club will have some hope of champions league this season.
Manager has the players but fails to use them correctly.

This is something that has some merit, it perplexes me at times to see some of the team selections, but he is working toward something and as long as he hits the target of CL football for next season I am happy to accept that he knows what he is doing and sees the players day in day out and is in a better position to make the calls then me. I don't have to agree with all the decisions and though I think we could be in such a more comfortable position if certain things were different, we are on course for CL qualification so I wont criticise the manager too harshly just yet.

Well where is this good form going to come from? I havent seen any good form since Fergie left. LVG has changed tactics/formations all year and no sign of a team improving since Moyes's team. Liverpool were in bad shape after losing Suarez at start of season. Rodgers has seemed to sort that.
Look at the players at LVGs disposal and im shocked at the way Utd are set up to play. Its not about hitting good form, its down to the way the manager has them playing. Im not saying Utd will never get back into Champions lg are anything like that. But if LVG doesnt change his style of play they are in serious bother. Nothing wrong with my post at all. You need to take off your red glasses Will...

    You're dead right.

We will never ever hit form ever again and will be relegated.

    Ever.

Really? Differences obviously in manager and players yes......... But points, the style of play, the struggle to actually beat teams, the poor passing, crossing, lack of goals etc etc

There is PLENTY of similarities between last season and now... And i cant see any "form" on the way anytime soon unless he changes things around with the players he has.

Yes there was, I've given van Gaal plenty of deserved criticism here this season. You seem to think it's impossible to turn things around while in the same breath mention the turnaround Rodgers has had at Liverpool.

Im a United supporter the last 20 something years.

I can see the challange ahead and not afraid to point it out. I used Rodgers as an example of someone who has seemed to be able to view their own teams issues and alter it before it gets worse.

Would you of taken pochetino at start of the season or if by some chance lvg misses out on champions league this summer? I think he do an amazing job at a club with the resources like manchester utd have at their disposal
