Someone mentioned the 4 miler above, I've 2 words Very wood.

Like Very Wood too. Think Him and Mala Beach cracking bets. Not sure Mala Beach will turn up though and even if he does turn up on good to soft ground he may not be suited by it. Elliot always maintained he is best on soft.

UDS and Annie Power double on the first day to set up a nice week!

whats the opinion on Nichols Canyon? personally i think he's seriously under rated as he's not a stable hype horse because he's a poor worker...hope he goes for the supreme from the front and uses his stamina..he's not short of speed either and if he lines up in it i think he could be hard to get by.Mullins has gone to the supreme with the last 2 winners of the deliotte

it will be an absolute bloodbath for the bookies if Douvan, UDS, Faugheen & Annie all win.

His jumping has worried me in his 3 runs with a look to the JLT in which there will be no hiding place. Seems to me he could be a horse suited by jumping over 3m where they will go a stride slower but he doesn't exactly look a guaranteed stayer. Of all the main players in the JLT he's the one I'm confident of taking on.

Interesting you would make those comments regarding staying when he was pipped in the topaz chase over 3m by RSA favourite and just beat the 2nd favourite for the jewson. If anything the fact he gets 3 miles would suggest to me he is more of a chance than vautour. When vautour ran over hurdles in punchestown last season he didn't appear to get the 2m 4 trip as you would have expected. Given the undulations of Cheltenham a strong JLT similar to the ryanair would play into the hands of a false 3miler..

Agree, Ruby was doing his best to preach that he's a stayer post race but I think he's perfect for a positive front running Supreme ride. He's clearly got pace, jumps well and stays and while it's a cliche at this stage, you need to stay strongly in Supreme given that jockeys are excited, horses are excited and they naturally go to fast. If I was Mullins, I'd run him in the opener with the opinion that if he sets it up for Douvan and he beats him on the snaff like a superstar all well and good. If they can't go by him, then so be it.

Extremely unlikely all the same. Id imagine Mullins would be very happy with 2 of those winning. Same talk every year, never works out and so much money is thrown away on big money multiples, its not a smart way to bet.

Obviously it's unlikely but his strength and depth is particularly ridiculous this year. I can see one of his novice hurdlers winning, UDS, Faugheen and AP all winning, Vautour, Don Poli and a bumper winner. That's leave him with 7winners, beating Hendersons record and while a 3 novice chase winners would seem silly to contemplate, can definitely see him threatening 7 winners. He has to one of these years through sheer force

I am totally not interested what you think of my posts/non posts my record at watching horses as potential is without question(maybe not here)When he finished 2nd on heavy ground against at fishers cross when he jumped two flights for every one he looked a gold cup horse in ever way imo.I can only go back to posts here regards coneygree 13/1/15 at that point he was any price you wanted, but obviously appoligse if my point was not absorbed.

I think you are the one not absorbing the point.

You've been called out for after timing more than once and you've done nothing about it. No proof. Just BS talk.

There is a stickie about after timing. Maybe you should read it because it's just as bad as listening to the two bob morons standing in a bookies telling you about all the winners they've backed. After the race has run of course.

Over 3m in a championship raceI think there would be one or two that would stay better than Apache. Where as the extra pace they will be going over the Jewson will find him out in the jumping department imo. He's just not a chaser I have taken to. Only time will tell, I've been wrong before.

Mullins said after the race that he would imagine he's a Neptune horse but he wouldn't rule out the Supreme. I was hoping that he would go to the Supreme as I have the other Wylie owned horse, Shaneshill backed for the Neptune. He could now be re-routed to the Supreme. Mullins also said that he would like to step up Alvisio Ville in trip as opposed to running him in the supreme so he looks like he has Outlander, AV and Nic Canyon for the Neptune. Means that two of of his more fancied runners coming into this year, Tell us More and Shaneshill who I would have thought are Neptune types, could be directed elsewhere. Interesting though is he said that they have "loads of horses for the Albert Bartlett". Now I thought that only Black Hercules and possibly Milseain would go that route so perhaps one of the aformentioned horses will also step up in trip. Always a nightmare trying to second guess Willie!

Bet 356 doing an ap mc coy "special" to win all 4 championship races at chelt, 500/1, you couldn't make it up

"Specials" are just designed to suck in unwitting punters, if you do an accumulator yourself you would easily quadruple the 500/1

Does anyone know what pricewise tipped up for the supreme in the post today??

Qewy and Jollyallan, not sure on the staking though. All i know is he's ruined my plan to back Jollyallan at big odds when it goes nrnb

I find myself leaning towards Mr. Mole...... :) but am likely to change my mind several times before the race !!

On at 33s but couldn't back him at 8s.

It is wide open though... Dodging Bullets doesn't always settle and his chances could be ruined early on.

Based on today's prices, I'd probably go for Hidden Cyclone. Really good performance lto.

Guys, we all know that Cheltenham brings out the best (and worst) in people, so can we please avoid posts like this in the future:

    Unnecessary:

Anyone know an official date for the handicap entries and weights? Usually around mid-late February but haven't heard anything yet.

We've all been wrong before. ;-) His jumping needs to sharpen up. Speed wise won't be an issue. He's got speed, he's proved that as Naas and punchestown. If he jumps he will be there coming up the hill

Fair enough but 8/1 having won the Game Spirit Chase beating Uxizandre and Sire De Grugy seems fair enough to me - compared to 33/1 having beaten no-one. Would you not agree? Hindsight is a great thing but 8/1 knowing what we know now is surely as good as 33/1 knowing what we knew then, no? I was really impressed with him at the weekend though. He looks a real contender.

Well yeah that's fair enough too...easy for me to say that having backed him at bigger prices.. but I knew he'd run a good race on Saturday:pac:

I couldn't go along with that, you either get the price or you dont. Each to their own and all that but backing a horse at 1/4 the price he was a couple of days ago is gambling suicide in my eyes
