Happy enough with this bet now.. BP now 12s, a general 8/1 elsewhere.
Nice bit of value at least..

Great bet got some serious value but if I see that dog winning a Queen Mother I'll get sick.

Ah come off it! Coneygree was hardly an unknown coming into the season and im pretty sure you are lying about tipping him at 40 -1. Just post a picture and ill leave you to gloat

It is obvious that I really like coneygree I wanted to buy him before he jumped a fence as I believe he is the real deal.can he win a gold cup?? Maybe not but Nichols won't want him running that is for sure.do not be surprised if he is sold before gold cup as not to take on silviniaco conti up front,I could be wrong??

Coneygree needs cut in the ground anyway does he not? Won't get that at the festival in all likelihood.

That's a big conspiracy theory you've got going on there......

Wasn't Coneygree bred by Lady Oaksey (John Oaksey's wife) and Mark Bradstock is Lady Oaksey's son in law. Given that family connection I doubt he was for sale before he jumped a fence and I doubt he is for sale now.

I have put up conygree at 50/1 before Stephens day and he as a novice is the best I have seen by a mile.

I find these posts terribly confusing, when nobody had heard of Coneygree you took 40/1 for the RSA when he hadn't jumped a fence. Why wouldn't you also back him at 50/1 if you were that keen on him at 40/1.

I wanted to buy Un De Sceaux before he went chasing because I thought he looked a superstar, but I didn't have the cash, didn't speak to connections or his trainer. Well it was complete pie in the sky to be honest :pac:

Irelands best 3m chasers and the one two is Carlingford Lough and Foxrock. Nothing against those horses but it definatly shows weakness in the division. If Silviniaco dosnt fire literally anything could win the Gold Cup. Djakadam shortening even more today is interesting, is he going to be Rubys choice I wonder? Seems to have the best chance of Mullins ones at least

Carlingford lough would have won the RSA last season if he didn't take 17 fences in along the way. If they sort his jumping out (still not great) before March he has a winners chance. Coneygree was also very impressive on Saturday.

And badgers would fly if they had wings :p He could win it indeed, I dont doubt that but so could any of about 10 horses. Agree about Coneygree, if ever there was a year for a novice to win it this is the year and the horse.

The last one to win it was Captain Christy in 1974 trained by Pat Taafe. Dawn Run was considered a novice too.

Dorans Pride was 3rd in 97 and Cyborgo also ran down the field that year

Sting if you really did back Coneygree at 40s/50s then you most certainly didn't say anything about it on here.

There is an option to do a search of each individual forum on here and the first time you brought him up on this forum was in the below message on 13th January.

If you like horses running at kempton at Christmas as a marker for the gold cup then put a clock from 2 out regarding silviniaco conti/coneygree ( novice)then he ( coneygree) is a real player.

If you want anyone to believe your claims then post up a screenshot of the antepost wager you struck as, on this forum, that was the earliest you talked about the horse.

You will be waiting Rossom, still waiting for the post where he napped Windemere last year.

Windemere looks the one to take out of yesterdays race and like last year he can improve again.

Coneygree should go to the Gold Cup, its not like there is a true 180s horse in it, plenty of horses at around the same mark so traffic on the run in could be a real issue unless you are a bold front running sort.

Still think Holywell is a decent bet(jumping needs to be better) and of the rest Djakadam and Windemere would be the ones of most interest if Coneygree goes the RSA route.

Surprised that SDG's performance has kind of gone under the radar (understandable though given AP took the headlines afterwards) on here so just wondering what everyone's thoughts are?

His jumping wasn't the best throughout, things were looking particularly ominous over his last two jumps before the unseating as well. The yard seems to be quiet enough since Saturday so you'd have to worry if he's going to make it to the festival.

Very uncharacteristic jumping errors so not sure whether to boil that down to lack of race fitness or underlying problem. If it's the former he'll surely be in the lineup.

2m Chasing division badly in need of a star. Let's hope we have one in the shape of UDS.

Although it'd be harsh to rule him out as a contender for the Champion chase on the basis of 1 run i can't see him being involved in the business end at all, very poor run the other day, could've came down earlier and never really looked like winning.

Anyone rewatch the hennessy yet?I watched it once last night and i'm of the conlusion Boston Bob could be the one to take out of the race,i'll have another few watches over the next few days though to be sure.

After not backing UDS before josses hills run I said i wouldnt make the same mistake with coneygree so backed him on the morning at 8-1 for RSA, will be gutted if he runs in the gold cup. FFS, id probably have to throw good maoney after bad and back him for the gold cup as well

Anyone that has big vouchers for Coneygree for the Gold cup should lay out now,he'll be bigger on the day and i'll be gobsmacked if he wins no matter how poor a renewal it looks.

If there has ever been a horse who flatters to deceive time after time it's Boston Bob.

Really impressed with Apache Stronghold yesterday. Dug in deep for the win against a good animal in VL.
Answered a question mark anyway and I now really think he'll be bang there coming up the hill in the JLT.
