Having a glass of wine now, either that or throw the bottle out. Not into waste.

    What kinda wine?

    So just chips then :P

Those actifryer things sound class. I'd have no use for one but I want one anyway!

Well done. I'm currently training to get to a 10k. Most I've done so far is 7km and am building up every week. Eat up, you've earned it.

Well now, I hate to be that person, but 8km is only around 500 calories burned so don't be ordering dominos just yet :pac:

Spoilsport :). A well put together sandwich would come in under 500 calls and would be very filling.

I hate when I read about all the 'binding agents' people mention in recipes. No need whatsoever. You just need mince with a high enough fat content both for taste and binding. Homemade burgers is the one thing where you shouldn't buy the more expensive 5% fat round steak mince.

    Hero.Absolutely right.

And Jamie Oliver has a recipe for burgers in today's Sunday Times which also just uses minced beef.

I have also been known to cheat and use McCains stringy fries.

Never ceases to amaze me alright. Remember my aunts running app posting to her facebook to say she'd just finished her 10k and had used 550 calories or something. Said to myself, "It would have been a lot easier to have just said no thank you to the cream donut" :D

It also came to mind reading yesterdays papers where several ran the story about restaurants and chefs complaining about the new regulations for calories on menus. Reminded me of a study from the states where diners were given one of 3 different menus. One without calories listed, one with calories listed and one with a description of various exercises needed to burn off the calories from the menu item but without the actual calorie figure listed. Portion sizes ordered were monitored. Those with the calorie menus ordered slightly smaller portions but those patrons who got the menus with the exercises drastically reduced the portion sizes they ordered.

ie. 200 press ups, 1 hour on the treadmill and 45 minutes on the fcuking spinning machine!!!!!!! Fcuk that!!!! I'll have a bowl of lettuce please :D
