    another terrible, uninspiring performance.

All the love for blind last week, id said we would see how good he was today and apart from the goal was non existent, even pulled out of 2 challenges.

id say right now van gaal is the most uninspiring manager right now in the league

That is what we need right now in the team.

What he lacked in tackling, he made up with some great goals.

OMG Shcoles goal against Bradford in 2000

    I miss him so much

What annoys me is LVG saying we look to exploit the oppositions weakness.

West Ham were missing both centre halves.

If there was any day to make runs to pull people out of position, it was today. Instead, our strikers made their job easy.

One of my all time fave goals. I was there, in the City end, my home town, and could barely celebrate.

Anyone else genuinely worried we might miss out on Europe again? - Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal all playing superior stuff to us.

Playing "superior" and still below us. Honestly, I'd rather be playing poor with room to improve yet be ahead, than playing well but risk dipping and yet still behind.

Yes, LVG is making utterly bizzare decisions. The 12/13 yr olds I coach would be able to identify the problems with the starting eleven today.

need to get rooney up front, totally wasted in midfield, only fellaini brought on, wouldnt really count smalling, herrera mata wilson all wasted on the bench, falcao and van persie will never work as a partership

For me its either that one or the one against Villa in 2006

Feel like a broken record every time I come on here, Rooney in midfield, crossing being our only method of attack. The same problems and it seems Van Gaal is the route of them all

So long as we keep getting results it won't matter,European football is back on the agenda and their squads will be stretched.Nevertheless our quality of play needs to improve,it's alright putting 2 or 3 past a piss poor team but as soon as anyone puts up a fight or defends as a unit,we struggle.

Playing superior and a point or two away from us. Southampton will be thereabouts too. We have room to improve but here has been no improvement in months.

14 games left - they have more then enough time to pass us out, we have some very hard matches coming up in those 14 too ... City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Everton etc. ... this really is going to be a struggle.

I think he's more getting to the point that if LVG would actually make the correct decisions we could be well clear of any of the challengers for top 4

So many needlessly dropped points this season when we should have been looking to win against weaker opposition

Honestly my big worry is the length of time its taking LVG in realising it just isn't working going forward with Rooney in midfield ... he is a world class manager and I am confident he will sort us out within a year but my only worry is it will be too late this year and we will slip down to 5th.

Finish outside CL places then his head will be there for the taking and the press/some sections of the fans will have the daggers out.

I know Falcao missed a good chance today but I though he was very good especially in the second half once we went behind.

Both RVP and Falcao suffered from the system and lack of service overall but both tried hard today. RVP was unlucky with a couple of shots he got off too.

Falcao was dropping deep and scrapping even after he missed the chance without letting the miss get him down and went on to set up RVP. His attitude is great.

If we aren't careful the "playing crap but still in the top 4" will turn into "played crap all season but only just missed out on top 4"

We could have had Lothar Matthaus or Essien in his prime in place of Blind today and it would not have helped us. You can't expect one midfield player to cover the defensive weaknesses of Rooney and Januzaj. It's too big of a task for any one player. In a midfield 3 you simply cannot have 2 passengers like we had today.

His form has been poor for a while alright but absolutely nothing to do with his physique. He's been built like a bean pole all his career and has done alright for himself. He needs to find form again, not worry about bulking up, which is a bizzare suggestion.

Lol its hardly bizzarre the premier league is a tougher league physically than the spainish and if a player is having trouble adapting putting on a bit of muscle would make it easier and maybe help get his confidence back. Its not like it would have a negative effect on him. he could easily add some strength without any it being detrimental to his "form finding"

If anything is bizarre its that your against something that only has positives.

A question for you on this..should it be both Falcoa and RVP up front or just one in your opinion?

Hate repeating myself but the only reason there is a lack of service is because we simply are not playing the right players in the right areas

And I feel sorry for Falcoa because he was forced to drop deep and search for scraps

The worst thing is I have a feeling LVG will lay the blame on him and not look at the actual reasons why he's struggling

Falcao never stopped running and fighting for the ball today,in fairness he should've scored when through on goal.
RVP looked like he wasn't interested most of the time,a damp squib for his 100th appearance.

Any one have the stats on rooney second half, the sky commentators after the game where saying something crazy about him in the second half stats wise and wanted to see what they where on about.
    Sorry about being vague.

I see york was saying Falcao is still up in the air if he should be kept, surely time to chop. The cash paid for him he should be delivering straight away never mind over half way into the League. The question is who would ya get to cover him Cavani to me see seems ideal with Rooney up front. If you could pry Lewandowski from Atletico he would do damage.

Hold on. He hit the ground running in the league before he got injured. It's obviously his natural physique. Your solution is for him to bulk up, missing the point completely. His physique just isn't an issue, never has been. His form is an issue. His touch, his control, decision making etc etc. nothing to do with his physique and yes it is bizzare to suggest so.

Falcao doesnt belong in this system im afraid. I'm reminded of the Keane/Berbatov system back with Spurs. Both tuned to eachother, one willing to provide for the other. We HAVE to put Rooney up with RVP/Falcao. He's wasted at 10 when we have fcking Mata and Herrera as options.

    Rooney isn't playing as a 10.

Ya he played well but hasnt really seemed up for it since he is back just doesnt look up for getting kicked and out muscled all game without getting free. It has worked for other players that have come to the premier league. And your suggestion that he cant add some strength training without inhibiting his other training is interesting.

As I said its bizarre to be against something which has no down side and hopefully a very positive upside
