If Liverpool win there will be 2 points between 3rd and 7th

    Chelsea 24 56
    Man City 24 48

    Southampton 24 43
    Man Utd 23 43
    Spurs 24 43
    Arsenal 24 42
    Liverpool 24 (41)

Southampton were extremely lucky to get the win against QPR. They were terrible at times. Take Schneiderlin and Wanyama out of that team and they become very very average.

If we can start winning more of our away games we should be fine. Taking all 3 points tomorrow would be brilliant.

Spurs are gonna Spurs. They'll show some great form for a while then fall away. Pochettino was coming under fire two months ago. Arsenal are a far bigger threat so this result is excellent for Utd.

This new manager is a different beast to the usual spurs fare. He was excellent at southampton and has been a positive influence at spurs too. Long term if that twat Levy leaves him run the football sideof the business they will be a top team.

Ive felt for a while now, especially since the Chelsea result, that they could be a real threat for top four this season.

Chelsea have all but wrapped up the title after today's results. I'm confident we will win tomorrow and be in contention to finish in the top 2 with City.

I'm delighted Southampton won today so that they pile the pressure now onto Arsenal and Spurs to keep up with them.

Or if you are even older you will remember them showing them live at 3 pm before they eventually had to defer them.

I remember Less Ferdinand scoring a belter into the top corner from outside the box against us at loftus road. I actually think thats my oldest premiership memory.

I would love to have your confidence. I can see us dropping points tomorrow if I'm honest.

He rode another man's team a Southampton. Never really had to build a team, same with Spurs. He's easily the most overpraised manager around when his teams are in form.

Things are becoming so tight that every game is now a must win. One slip could see us out of the top 4.

West Ham have only lost twice at home in the league. Getting a win there will be very difficult.

That's nonsense tbh. Things are getting tight but people are totally over reacting with must win et etc.

We will still be in the top 4 no matter what the result tomorrow.

A draw wouldn't be a bad result all things considered.

We have a great record down there and they have there first choice centre back pairing out,I'm not sure if James Tomkims is back for them, but if not that's there first three centre back choices out. Andy Caroll is also out and will be a big loss for them at set pieces and for there long ball game.

Only the one injury for us to Carrick but have a great replacement in Blind. I've gone for 2-0 and think we will keep our run going.

A much derided manager who didn't do that bad a job at all. I wonder who it was that started playing Harry Kane and who then proceeded to drop him when he first came in?

Sorry didnt know your were privy to how spurs players were doing in training never mind so. Only job that underratted manager has been offered since is in the lower leagues although looking like he will get a few more months in the premiership before he has to start managing lower leagues.

    Off topic anyways apologies...

Sorry did not see your request fora source

    Summary from Here

    And taken from transfermarket.co.uk

    Thanks.

Some of his numbers are a bit different to transfermarkt, but that might be because of estimates of fees being changed since he wrote the article, on top of it being written before the January window just gone.

If we use his numbers, for the years that Ferguson was in charge that he includes, United were:

    12/13 - 2nd highest net spenders
    11/12 - 4th
    10/11 - 4th
    09/10 - 5th
    08/09 - 2nd

For the total sum of net spending over those five years, United (with £65.64m) were 4th highest spenders after City (417.9m), Chelsea (239.9m) and Liverpool (101.2m). Arsenal kicked ass with -30.7m net total.

As for the argument that United have been the biggest spenders over the life of the PL, well I'll believe it when I see it. I'm sure United are high up in that list, but there has nearly always been at least one other team out spending Fergie's in any given period.

Poor and big mistake for their 3rd goal. Not sure why he didnt try to clear the ball when it was just yard away from line.

Put few quid on Liverpool and delighted to have lost it.

Spurs win was the better of the 2 evils for me. Southampton playing bad or not got huge 3 points.
