Should have stayed off the internet as well!!

just in work here trawling through my followed threads..

The pictures thing got old fast, especially when it was already posted the players who rose and fell.

Agreed. It's run its course for me. And there was also a point in another thread where the result of an Ireland rugby game was given out. I also wasnt able to stay up for the superbowl and will be watching it today, though I did already spoil it for myself elsewhere. Spoiler tags wouldn't go amiss, even now before others might see it.

Apologies to those who didn't want to hear the result, although I find it hard to believe that anyone is going to go today without hear who won.

Nowhere on the internet/TV/Radio is safe today

Ah yeah no it's true enough alright. As I said I managed to spoiler myself this morning before even coming in here.

The real victory is Aguero going up and Bertrand not dropping yet!

Even if you know the result it is definitely worth watching it was an amazing game that last quarter was something else!

    nothing happening tonight is there?
I have the wildcard but no time for fooling with it until Friday probably, is it too late to get a .2 rise on anyone this week?

Could be a good few drops. I would imagine the only double risers this week will be the ones who went up last night no one else seems to be moving that much.

Eriksen has to be the most annoying player.

Had him for a few games...scored some points.

Went a few games without anything including the 5-3 v chelsea. I sell him.

    Now he starts scoring again!

I did the same with Siggy and Costa. They blanked 3-4 games in a row. Sold them both and then they went on a blitz. Single-handedly cost me my awesome start to the season.

I just think I'm going to hold him. He's inconsistent but he is providing good points for someone I bought for 7.8 million.

Third highest scorer in the whole game and a combined 5.8m cheaper than the two ahead of him, give me inconsistency like that any day:P I don't get it to be honest

He is a bit like bale the season before his unbelievable season. He would post double digit scores every 4 weeks followed by 3 weeks of 2 pointers. With players like that you get them in and leave them in. People will find eriksen frustrating as they will get him in after a big score and end up selling him before his next big score.

I had him in my GW1 team and ditched after three weeks of blanks. I'll be getting him in for DGW28 but don't regret not having him in the intermediary; it's not like he's been killing me (low ownership, not captainable). Been brilliant in my draft game to be fair.

As I said though, that's the kind of inconsistency I am happy to live with. Sanchez has a similar looking rap sheet but you don't hear him being described as inconsistent.
Thanks for reminding me of Bale's big year busts, I had some craic back then, the place went into meltdown when I described him as one of the top ten players in the world, happy days indeed.
Even when Eriksen doesn't bring home the points he always threatens to IMO, nobody is gonna score 25 goals from midfield nowadays.

Same as. Shoulda got him in the wildcard, had decided to and changed my mind. Not gonna get him in now till the DGW. Not gonna freak out if he scores well in the meantime, i do hope he doesn't rise too much in value.

14 blanks out of 23 games for Eriksen, 9 blanks from 21 games for Sanchez. I'd argue that Sanchez is a lot more consistent.

However, it doesn't go against Eriksen having a very good season, like Hazard, if he's involved he seems guaranteed nice bonus points. He's well worth his price and a fine alternative to Silva or Di Maria.

What are the chances Bellerin won't rise before the weekend? He'd still be a bargain at 4.5 but I'll be annoyed at missing out on him at 4.4.

Very. One more rise and I can't afford Pelle to Studge.

People just can't wait.... *sigh*. Earlier in the week, someone posted a link towards an article where Rodgers said Studge will be sub material for the week-end...

Re Eriksen. Had him for a while and he was great for his price. My pb now is I kept Kane in my WC and so far am happy with it and can't justify 2 Spurs attackers now. Hopefully he doesn't rise too much before his double and casuals get in a panick when he'll face his blank :pac:!

He's now 11.2. Pelle is 7.8. I have 3.5. I can afford one more rise or fall. I just checked Pelle and he doesn't look like going down so should be alright.

Aside from "knee-jerker casuals" I'd say that people who got him in late and have little cash tied on him probably gambled on him staying off the field longer while jumping on performing team mates e.g. Cazorla. I f you factor in the cash they can gain on Cazorla and Sanchez falls they may break even when they'll get him back which would give them a great flexibility for the run-in.

In fairness, if I hadn't got him in for £10.5m I'd have considered it. Actually I could have sold him for £11m last week with my WC. He's now £11.3m and I already gained £0.1m on Cazorla. If he doesn't play this week-end I'm gonna have some regrets though it's easy to say in hindsight.

Unfortunately Sturridge as a sub last weekend got 7, Pelle as a started got 2. Even as a sub he's gold to a lot of people (I still worry about Liverpool's upcoming fixtures).

3 other (and cheaper) Arsenal midfielders all scored in his absence. An extra 2m+ to play with. Not sure I'd classify it as "mad"

I fully agree with this. Agüero is a prime example of what can be done in 15 min. And if you compare to Pellè I understand it. But
    1. my front 3 is Agüero - Giroud - Kane. I find it hard to justify ditching one of them for a player who should be a sub at the week-end, especially since it'll have to be a -4 and most probably a -8 for me to do so.

    2. Pellè is a very bad example to compare with. 2 goals and 3 assists in the last 15 games (and they were not all big games). I didn't understand the appeal for him last week... Granted the fixtures. But cheaper or similarly priced forwards were doing much better with equivalently good fixtures.

That said I'm keeping a close eye on him and hope he won't rise too quickly. I haven't been careful enough during my WC last GW and for some reason thought he was due back later...
