Which sites are best to block for a family PC?

I've been asked to fix up a windows computer and to ensure that no Irish gambling sites can be accessed, if possible. I know how to do this, but I don't know what sites to block yet.

I'm curious if anyone knows a packaged solution (like a browser plugin) or just websites themselves to block as unfortunately supervised access can't always be guaranteed.

OpenDNS. Block em at the router level, hardest to circumvent.

Norton DNS is the one I always use. It has three different levels.

If it's windows 7 try Microsoft family safety. Or else edit the hosts file in system32/drivers/etc and point the urls at 127.0.0.1

All good and helpful suggestions, thank you. As for finding a list of URLs to use, is there anything already 'assembled'?

I use the mvps block list anyway to block all malware and ad sites but if you Google the department of Education filtering for schools it has a list of sites by category- one if the categories is gambling.

Wow, thanks so much Orion. That's exactly what I'm looking for!

NannyNet is a good piece of sortware I've heard but best to block them on the router's settings itself.
