What is the 1 series 1.6 petrol like 2008 and upwards with 90kw at the rear wheels? is it a chain or belt engine? fuel consumption reliability general overview and problems of the 1 series bmw?

Cramped, underpowered, small boot and sparse interior. I'm not a fan of the Audi A3 but a similar year and priced A3 1.4 tsi sportback will do the same job with a bit more punch.

Cold started the BMW at the dealers there was white smoke out of the exhaust I didn't pay close attention but my missus said it seemed a lot. Is it just condensation or head gasket failure. **** i'm gonna have to check the coolant witch I forgot I was too worked up in the moment of looking at the car which was nice and clean. The engine was clean but that smoke is bothering me now.
