Oh Lord, MTUSA arrived at just the right time for me. I grew up in 1 channel land so all the American soft rock and power ballad videos of the 80's opened up a whole world of obsession with all things small town American. I was obsessed with songs like Desert Moon by Dennis de Young and Broken Wings by Mister Mister.

I loved them through my teenage years and they still evoke great nostalgia when i hear them.

Vague memory of an interview with them years ago. Original lyric was "like a hobo I was born to walk alone" which was a common term in the States. They changed the lyric to drifter as people thought they were singing homo instead of hobo.
