Thinking of buying Nissan qashqai + 2

Hi there,
We are thinking of buying this car (diesel) as its won car of the year - we have 2 little kids and want the 2 extra seats for transporting other kids to football matches etc. we do about 15k per year.
They have discontinued this car this year and its Xtrail only now- so we think we should buy a 1/2 year old instead
Any and all advice much appreciated

Qashqai + 2 never sold in same numbers as qashqai but would be an excellent buy,The big advantage is having the 2 extra seats but just be aware that they are only suitable for kids under12!.However when not in use they fold down to give a way bigger boot for buggies etc than standard qashqai .The 1.5 dci engine is fine and if you get the SVE spec it has the glass roof and really keeps the cabin airy-a big advantage when taking kids on any longish trip.Although rare enough,the petrol version is also a canny buy unless you are doing huge mileage and will be 3 to 4 k cheaper than same year diesel.

As you can guess, we have no idea what we are doing really - but I have looked around and I think we should be able to get a higher spec Quashqai if we are careful. Great tip on the petrol - thanks a million :0)

No problem.I had to source one last year for my brother-he leaves all car stuff to me!-as he wanted something bit bigger than his 08 c max.I had been testing just the SVE spec and came across a petrol one.It drove very well and suited him price wise-difference of about 3 k.He has it for year now and cant fault it-3 kids love it and he is getting 45 + mpg which is not far behind the diesel.Just did a quick look there and Windsor motors have 2 131 s on sale with almost same mileage in Sve spec-asking 27495 for diesel and 23495 for petrol.Other best price diesel is 25900 in Cork.Good luck with the search.
