I thought he died in 2007?

I remember him in the three tenors.

Funny that's what my wife just said - are we related?

"I thought he was already dead and I thought he was older."

In the early 70s he had a huge solo career but I think some of his best work was with Aphrodite's Child, rest well Demis.

He was a fine big lump of a lad with a great voice.
I had one of his LP's at one time.

Terry Wogan used always to introduce him as "The Singing Frock". A fine big lump of a man. Grand voice too. Rest his soul.

Yeh, he was great in that. No one could hit the high Cs in La Fille du Regiment like him.

And O Sole Mio in the 1990 World Cup. Still brings a tear to my eye.

In fact, this is the most interesting Thread in After Hours today.
He was a great Singer with lovely songs. And, Nana Mouskouri too.
    Both big in their day.

68 - too young to die. I am very sorry to hear this. RIP

Just got off the phone with my Dad. I have very happy memories of Dad singing My Friend the Wind to me and my younger siblings when we were young. Dad was a great singer and adored him. Forever and ever, Goodbye my love goodbye, My friend the wind, Happy to be on an island in the sun and Lovely lady of arcadia were played over and over. And over. He sang about places that I always wanted to visit.

Dad reminded me that Roussos was on a plane that was hijacked by terrorists back in 1985. Think they were held hostage for a few days before they were released. Quite a life, thought he was older.

    This is a brilliant tune

and I also love this wonderfully inappropriate track that's played over the credits and opening scenes of Night Train Murders. Watch Santa get it.

and a trailer for Night Train Murders; a classic movie and much more than a Last House On The Left rip-off.

The second video is Demis Roussos singing a song over the opening credits of Night Train Murders.

The third video (the bottom one) is a trailer for Night Train Murders. Just adding context.

Have you been to the Horrorthon festival, Nlg. They often show Italian exploitation.
