Satellite signal on Sky+ box but not on Freesat box

Hi,

Maybe someone here can help me out. Yesterday I installed a satellite dish and aerial on my house. For tuning in the satellite I used a Sky+ box, I received nearly full signal and quality on both cables running from the Quad LNB to this box. I could also receive FTA channels on the Sky box without a viewing card from these cables.

I have bought an Amiko Alien 2+ for freesat and Saorview. The Saorview reception works fine. When I plug the same two cables (that gave full Sky signal) into the Amiko box running Spark I do not receive any satellite reception for Astra 28.2e. Instead the box shows Level:60 Quality:0 whether the satellite cables are plugged in or not. A scan results in no channels.

I have installed enigma on the other partition but it cannot pick up satellite signal either. Given that the Freesat and Sky signals come off the same satellites I am beginning to suspect a faulty satellite tuner in the Amiko box. Is there anything I could be missing here are doing wrong?

Did you flash an existing backup or did you start from scratch ?

What image are you using

Im using openatv and the tuner config is as follows

Setup
Service searching

Under tuner config
Tuner B tuner 1 sat ( dvb-s2 )
single
sats 28.2E eutelsat28A & astra 2A/2E/2F
Tuner C tuner 2 sat ( dvb-s2 )
single
sats 28.2E eutelsat28A & astra 2A/2E/2F

If you load an existing backup you can be fairly sure the tuner config is already done

Just to test if it works with this backup for sat stations
Saorview will require a rescan for your local transmitter
